Thanks Both for the [STRIKE] kick up the butt [/STRIKE] support :) I was visiting a very poorly friend today so didn't have a chance to do the contacting. By the end of the day tomorrow I will have contacted at least 3 of the people / organisations on my list. Now I'm accountable to you I can't wimp out...

    Hiya

Sorry - I didn't notice you had a diary link until Aesop mentioned it.

Great to hear you doing well so far, and sounds like you've more in the offing.

What kind of coaching are you doing, if you don't mind me asking ? If you don't want to broadcast it then that's okay - just interested.

I'll pop back and all the very best in the meantime

It's been a busy couple of days - had 5 clients scheduled in plus the last in a programme of supervision sessions which that means I have hit the eligibility criteria to apply to be accredited with the International Coach Federation (ICF) so I plan to put my application together over the weekend. It means updating my log of the 100+ hours of coaching & 10 hours of supervision that I've done.

This week I've actually earned as much as I did when I was working :T - This makes me so happy as I get to do something I love.

Orange Ena - thanks for being vigilant - I need someone to be on my case - I can be a slippery customer :rotfl: I have contacted 2 out of 3 of the people that I'd intended to - no response so far. The 3rd one - I've found out is out of the country at the moment so I have drafted my email to her ready to send when she gets back in a week. Didn't want it to get lost in a post holiday backlog of emails. (This one has the most potential for me).

Lynne I'm more than happy to talk about my Coaching - thanks for asking. I'm a personal and business coach. At the moment my main niche areas are around career - looking for work, career change & starting small businesses. I also Coach for a Charity that provides free telephone Coaching for Young Women around employability, confidence etc.

I also Coach people to help them lose weight through conscious / mindful eating. I do most of this through an agency - not terribly well paid but I love the work and it helps me stay conscious about my own eating habits (I lost a lot of weight this way myself a few years ago and have kept it off).

I've lots of plans whizzing around my head for developing into different areas - mostly related to Charities (my work background).

When I write this I remember how exciting it all is to me - that feeling got a bit lost in the worrying about whether the business will succeed that I've been going through in the past 2 weeks since I left work. I guess I've just needed to adapt and settle into my new life. Bored with fretting now - time to get on with things and enjoy it. :D.

Thanks so much to my lovely visitors on this thread - it feels good not to do this alone...:)

Thanks LMD - it has been busy - who knows what next week will bring? (which I guess is the nature of self-employment !) How has your week been?

Fair to middling for me lol, I feel particularly skint this month, despite the eBay sales (more finish tomorrow) and payday seems so far away. I think I have the winter blues! Cold dark mornings make me sad :(

Next month we are on holiday abroad for a week so I have that to look forward to and when we get back we will be on Christmas countdown!

That's a shame LMD! I struggle with winter too - I always notice a drop in energy levels at this time of year. Try to stay focussed on that holiday :)
