Trying not to get too over-excited on a Sunday morning so a very quiet "Whoo Hoo !" - I found out on Friday that my interview was successful and I've been accepted as an Associate Coach for an organisation that provides coaching for women leaders !! I'm so happy - it's a great organisation - it's well respected in the field and has amazing positive values that it actually puts into practice. It's the sort of organisation I feel very proud to be associated with. :j:j:j.

I've been feeling recently that I needed to step things up in terms of my business and this is the perfect opportunity at just the right time. I keep having to fight the "it's too good to be true" impulse and to just enjoy the experience and feel very grateful...

So other than that - a super-busy beginning of the week which tailed off towards the end. I picked up a lovely new private client (referred by my ex-husband - we really have moved on.... lol).

My "looking after myself" goal was partially successful - I got a full 8 hours sleep out of 6/7 nights and really noticed the difference. I got to the gym 3 times & did a long walk yesterday, drank lots of water. On the down-side I allowed things (e.g. the interview) to throw my eating out of kilter (and there were a few celebratory G&Ts involved when I got the good news) so I'm looking forward to what should in theory be a quieter week to working on that.

Looking at next week it really does look considerably quieter than previous weeks. I must be feeling more confident in myself and my business because I'm not panicking about that - just happy to have a week where there's time to consolidate.

    Have a wonderful week xxx

What super news :T: Congratulations on your acceptance as an associate and hope it all works well for you

Sounds like you feeling much better in yourself as well, and the healthier regime must also be helping. Though I suspect it all works together with you being more sure of yourself generally.

Am starting to feel a bit better now - thank goodness - and looking forward to be able to get out and about now the weather is starting to improve. Hoping for a better spring/summer than last year and seeing plenty of sunshine.

Enjoy your quieter week and make the most of it. You sound like your work is starting to build up and you might find it suddenly starts snow-balling.

    All the best

Thanks Lynnejk and I'm very pleased to hear that you are feeling better. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a decent Summer too - it's been nice and bright here today - hope the same can be said for where you are.

Good Morning - hope everyone is feeling well and happy.

It's a pretty overcast morning here in London and I'm trying not to let that affect my mood. I really enjoyed the sunshine we had for a few days this week. I got my first opportunity to lie out in the sun in the garden on Weds & couldn't have been happier. I was very grateful for the fact that I had a less busy week that allowed me to do that.

It was a good opportunity also to get to grips with looking after myself. I got to the gym 4 times, got a good night's sleep 6 out of 7 nights - my less restful night was due to coming in late from an event with a very busy brain!! - normally I would have taken the edge off with a G&T but I was trying to stay alcohol free. My big success on the well being front has been with my eating - I've really got my conscious eating nailed down again which feels great physically and mentally. I feel like I've pressed a reset button with this and consequently I feel much happier.

Even though it was a quiet week I earned enough to cover the bills which felt reassuring. Plus I finally got my refund for the rubbish course I went on so that's £200 back in my coffers. So pleased that I persevered. I immediately went on line to find another course to go on but one was full and the other the dates didn't work. Made me think that the Universe was involved in that as to be honest I think I need to not keep going on so much training & allow things to consolidate and READ a bit more. So I'm going to try that tack for a while.

Next week: Again not overly busy but financially if everything goes ahead it will bring in more money than this week has due to the nature of the work. I have kept Weds clear to visit a friend who is unwell & unfortunately getting worse. :(. I love the flexibility of being self-employed - ie all day Weds off and I'll coach someone both days this weekend and working a couple of evenings. It's interesting to have this life where everything is integrated - takes a bit of getting used to but worth it.

I hope you all have a wonderful week.

Well done on the conscious eating. I need to tackle that myself as I must be the only person to train for an event and put on weight!

:rotfl:Clarey You are not alone - I put on weight when I was training for my endurance walk a few years ago. You really have to get the eating right don't you - I remember a couple of training walks where I didn't and I got very weak & wobbly. I ate almost constantly on the actual walk (I discovered that along with the health snacks - dolly mixtures have almost magical restorative powers lol) When is your walk?

I agree, I'm finding exactly the same on the long walks I have been doing, the more I eat the better it goes! Haven't tried dolly mixture but been having a lot of jelly babies, M&Ms and malt loaf. How long was your endurance walk and how did it go?

It was 50km - Thames Path Challenge - it was tough and yet it was one of the best things I've ever done. I was really glad that I'd trained properly had enough food and water with me & rested frequently - the basics really pay off. You're doing Moonwalk aren't you?

Wow, so that is approx 31 miles! Very impressed as I found 20 miles hard on my long training walk. Yes I'm doing the moonwalk on 16th. At least I can think of you if I'm struggling and think that if you could do 31, I am getting off lightly with 26.

I love the idea of the Moonwalk but I'm daunted by the thought of staying awake all night !! So I'm impressed by you doing that!!

A friend of mine did the 100km Thames Path Challenge where you walk all day and all night - she said that she was hallucinating in the early hours of the morning :rotfl:
