 There was me thinking the increased number of trolleys abandoned in the middle of car parks was bad enough.0

Why are some people not bothered to bring their own bags?
It's their money, which they are free to spend on bags at the supermarket if they so wish.A couple walked out of Asda with a shopping trolley full, they went to their car and lifted the whole trolley into the back of their 4x4 and drove off. I know this is stealing but it was funny at the time.
But will they be reusing the trolley? And I hope they tethered it in the boot :rotfl:Now free from the incompetence of vodafail0 -
For people worried about cross contamination from raw meat here is a tip
Buy a 5p carrier or bag for life to ensure it is fresh
Put meat in it
When you get home take out meat and write an R on it in black pen in big letters
R means raw meat and then just use that bag in the future for your raw meat - no cross contamination

I have put a neatly folded into as small as possible size plastic bag into all my coats and jackets pockets.Still virtually alcohol free since 4/1/15. (10 Xmas/ New Year/Birthday drinks)
It takes 3500 calories to lose a pound in weight. Target 13 lbs weight loss. 18.5lbs lost 2nd May - 28 September.0 -
I do think shops will lose out now though. It has made it easier for shop lifters. All a shop lifter has to do now is purchase an item, walk out the shop and get rid of the item, then go back into the same shop, pick up another of the same item and walk out. If questioned they have the original receipt as proof of purchase.
I have read this a couple of times now , and cannot work out why this is any different to what they could have done before the bag charge ?0 -
Saw a guy with a broken Asda thin plastic bag and smashed bottle of lager on the floor beside him. I said to the assistant that I hoped they would replace the bottle as the bag was clearly faulty. Wondered whether they replaced the bag free charge too?!
On the plus side I heard an assistant say they will replace broken bags for life...Free thinker.:cool:0 -

Well, noticed many customers leave receipts at self scans. Even when they buy things like clothing, DVDs etc. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

If it was a single use 5p bag that he is using for the second or third time, then its not really the stores problem, he should have checked the bag was OK to use again.
If it is a bag-for-life then I would expect the store to replace the bag and the damaged items. although the store really should have replaced the bag when they saw it at the till, but Asda staff aren't the most pro-active.0 -

It looked like a new 5p Asda bag which broke - they are very thin and I don't think they're up to holding many bottles.
The comment about the Bag for Life was made on a separate ocassion....Free thinker.:cool:0
