Wrong fuel

Incidentally, continually "topping up" some brands of diesel is a Bad Idea as they have a system that injects "Magic Fluid" (believed to be wee) into the fuel, every time you close the filler cap. This will run the bag of Magic Fluid empty too soon, and costs a fortune to get topped up, and the system reset. So it is best to go from full to nearly empty before refilling right up.
Hopefully, yours doesn't have this, I believe Citroen & Peugeot do though.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

I can't see it doing any harm, but if you note in my post I suggested a 250ml or so of 2-stroke oil.
It readily mixes with diesel and lubricates the diesel pump - both the high and low pressure pumps.
It does not as some folks suppose create extra smoke or harm the DPF (if you have one) as it burns cleaner that pure diesel.
Get the cheapest on the market - low ash mineral based - no need for any fancy synthetic stuff at all.
Halfords sell it in 250ml bottles for garden machinery - perfect for a one-shot treatment.
Some folks use it every fill as a replacement for the sulphur which used to be in diesel until recently as a lubricant.0 -

Thank you I had seen that in your post and forgot to say I would do that as well
For the cleaner I was just going to my local motor factors as for the oil I was going to use the 2 stroke oil I use in my chainsaw0 -
Umm, "chainsaw oil" is the stuff you lubricate the chain with, and is very different to two-smoke oil, which is what's wanted here.
My chainsaw used two types of oil, the lube for the chain and the oil to mix with the petrol. Both could easily be referred to as "chainsaw oil". I think you're right that you wouldn't want to use the former to mix with diesel, but the latter should be fine.0
