I can't believe most people flush things other than loo roll tbh, wouldn't dream of it:eek::eek: Bin all the way:)

UU here Lush Mumkin, love this and very Halloweeny, speaking of which Happy Birthday to me and there's Birthday INs!

    Botanicia plum and grapefruit set
L'Occitaine Cherry blossom set and perfume

    Very spoilt:D

Happy birthday, I hope that you are having a great day. I like the thought of the Cherry Blossom set, I have not tried it, I don't even allow myself to have a little sniff of new things as I have so much shower/bath/body stuff to use up. One day when I have got through a few bottles:)

    One tiny in:
A mini sample of la Roche-posay efflacar duo+ which I was interested to try until I found out is from a L'oreal company :(

I didn't realise that until I started using it, either. A shame, cos I really liked it!

A UU - finally!! Olay Touch of Sun moisturiser, supposed to be tinted but didn't notice any difference :p It has been spluttering for a couple of weeks, it finally gave up today but I was certain there would be stuff left in it (as is always the case!)
It's a round tub with a pump lid. Got the pump bit off but couldn't get the next layer off with my fingers. Got a pair of pliers and eventually got the lid off, then a spring, then another lid and then another lid, to discover it was actually empty. :p
It's actually a bit of a con, the tub makes it look tall but haven taken it apart I can see there's a false floor and a false top.
So WIBA - not sure - it has lasted a long time and I have plenty of UU first :o but probably would as long as it was on some sort of offer (which is why I bought it in the first place!!)

Wow that sounds like excessive packaging!

I'm slowly leaving cotton pads too - muslin cloth is always leaving a more pleasant feeling on my skin anyway !

I think I have only now started using muslin cloths properly! I apply cleanser, rinse it off, "polish" my face with dry cloth, then wet it and wipe again.

My DS went on a school trip to Yorkshire Water this year and they said that cotton pads shouldn't be flushed away either so since then I've been putting mine in the bin.

asajj - when I've finished my stash of eye makeup remover I will use a cloth to remove everything so no more cotton pads. On that note I have a uu:

No7 Eye Make up Remover - this is very effective and doesn't leave my eyes bleary. WNBA for reasons above.

I think that will be my last uu this month, I will total up later but think I have uu 33 things and had 1 freebie in. Some of the things were really big bottles and tubs so I am starting to see the difference not filling those gaps is making to the space my stash takes up.

On Thursday I went to York and did some Christmas shopping on my own, I though that temptation would get the better of me as I had to go into Boots, Lush, Crabtree & Evelyn and Fenwicks but I just didn't feel any desire to buy.

I am really looking forward to the day when I have used up all my skincare and can start a more simple, pared down routine.

Repainted my nails last night in OPI Every Month is Oktoberfest, it seems the perfect day for it today. I cracked open a bottle of Seche Vite as the OPI and Sally Hansen top coats are both rubbish and I am having to repaint my nails every couple of days, Seche and Poshe are the only top coats I will buy now I think.

    Have a good Halloween everyone.

Love York. Such a gorgeous city.

I'm prefer Aussie top coats. Had to repainted my nails twice yesterday cos I managed to melt mine off when using the hair dryer. Am wearing Leighton Denny I Love Juicy. Have owned this for years and note the bottle is nearly empty. Will repurchase I think as its a gorgeous coral colour.

The final week of the month saw me with

UU #6 on Sunday 25th. Tesco frequent use conditioner. WNBA. So thick it was hard to get out of bottle and even harder to thoroughly apply to hair. Replaced with a part used Pantene Pro-V conditioner.

UU #7 on Monday 26th. The 15ml sample of a Theramed 2-in-1 toothpaste I pulled out on 22nd. Probably WMBA. Don't really like the semi-liquid texture, and it seems very expensive compared to the toothpastes I'd normally pick up if I needed some. Replaced with a non-brand name minty toothpaste that's already part used.

UU #8 on Tuesday 27th. Nivea Invisible 24hr deodorant stick. Might buy again, but there was a lot that would be wasted if you throw it away when it won't push up any further (I pulled out the mechanism, and managed to get more than another week out of it). Replaced with a tesco Cotton 24 hour roll-on that was in a washbag from when I had gym membership earlier this year (cancelled as I couldn't afford it any more).
