Great service from Vodafone - now saving £68 a month!!

Options
I have been loyal to Vodafone for many years but since switching to an IPhone 5s 18 months ago I have been paying over the odds for my phone bill (price plan is £42 but paid £85 most months for extra data bolt ons).

Called them up yesterday to get a final fee to get out of my contract so I could sell my handset to cover the cost. They told me that my handset was already paid off, and they offered me a sim only contract with unlimited text & minutes, 6gb data PLUS 6 months free Netflix for £16.50 a month!

Absolutely made up as I already paid £5 a month for Netflix so in total i'm saving £441 in the next 6 months, then £411 there after!

  • pitty 3 just gave me, unlimited texts minutes, and 8gb (including tether) on the 4g network for £15 quid a month (as a thank you for my 13 year loyality) 1 month rolling contract, £27 a month right now on threes website for new customers - who got the better deal...
  • That's an excellent deal Leeroy2009! Sometimes it does pay to be loyal!

I've been loyal to VF for 17 years. My SIMO contract expires on 25th October. I spent time on the phone yesterday waiting fo be put through to someone. I took the option of VF ringing me back within 29mins to 55mins. They rang after 48 mins. Then I was put on hold and all I was getting was "sorry we are very busy." Etc. I was then cut off after 47 mins. So redialled 191 and went though again, waited this time for 1hr 46 mins before I was cut off again. So do I now keep to VF or change? carphonewarehouse offered me a good deal on Samsung S6. I currently have S3 which is now very tired hence new phone. Is my loyalty worth anything to them? I don't think so because I very rarely go over my unlimited mins, unlimited texts and 1gb internet.
  • Sorry to hear that Lara, maybe try online as well as they have a chat option on their website which I have found helpful in the past?
  • With Vodafone I think I'd wait until you actually get what they have promised. Otherwise you could be starting a thread of an entirely different nature to add to the scores on Vodafone on this site.

Now this sounds more like the vodafone that we know on these forums...

Save yourself the hassle of calling - get in touch with the vodafone rep on here and ask for your PAC.

It's been set up and live on my VF app and online account, I have had trouble with them in the past as I sent off my phone to be repaired and they lost it but even then they sent me a brand new IPhone 5s.

You missed the biggest negative, it's still with Vodafone...

Even i am using VF its Gives great network as well as best services,

That wouldn't have anything to do with the referral links you have posted on your profile page, would it?

  • Nice job on the deal! I got something similar because of lots of problems and being with them so long! 70% Discount on unlimited mins, texts and 4gb Data (SIM ONLY). £7.98 a month. :)
