I'm a builder and from what I saw from the university reports it would only be 2% warmer and from columns b and d only a 10% saving on heating
Do what we've always done, fit insulated plasterboard to each outside wall and skim over then decorate, approx £350 per room, £50 for plaster board and plaster and a day and half to do, customer then decorates themselves.
Instant 100% improvement in bills and a warmer house.0 -
NANO TECNOLOGY COATINGS.
The systems that are mentioned here are designed to keep heat OUT of buildings/surfaces'roofs.
There is a suspect number of companies promoting +20% heat saving off your bill. RUBBISH.
NASA invented NanoT coatings to stop the shuttle getting to hot when re-entering the earths atmosphere. THEY ARE GREAT IF YOU HAVE A STEEL ROOF OR UNINSULATED TILED ROOF and live on the MED COAST.
£40 sq mtrs is madness
These products are available for £120 for 20 ltrs which will cover around 70 sq mtrs.
The expected reflection of heat back into a house with a cavity wall is so small its a waste of time checking for it.
Trust me I'm a doctor.....0
