Thanks for joining just to spam us with your poorly written, spelled and punctuated post. It really adds to the debate!

My concern is that as most Victorian and earlier house don't have a damp-proof course, moisture will rise from the ground into the wall.

If the wall is sealed from the outside the only way the water can go is inside.

Clever stuff, so it repels water from its outer surface yet its inner surface attracts moisture from the masonry.

I've checked the report, but it's telling that their model is based around a house without a cavity

Did you also notice how it was constructed ?

Bricks standing on edge with the frogs facing inwards - Hardly representative of construction methods used in normal house building. If the model is flawed, it follows that the data is invalid and can not be relied upon.

    Conclusion: Snake oil.

If a house with a cavity is getting damp on the inner leaf there's a problem with the cavity, condensation or a leaky pipe. Slapping a magic liquid on the outside won't make any difference.

It's people with solid walls who are going to be attracted by this "cure", but houses without a cavity are of a certain age, and advice should be sought from an old-building specialist, not someone selling a product.

EDIT - Change "With a cavity" to "Without a cavity"

When you said 'report', I assumed you meant you used the 'Report' button. But I had tried that as well. Still, it seems to have gone now.
