Hi All
Still problems with broadband at home, so quickly posting from work.
Have completed September grocery challenge under budget but now have dd at home travelling to uni daily, 86 mile round trip a day. So am quite worried about october, wonder what she will cost me to feed?0 -
Hello Monday People,
Really busy morning as have started blitzing a room (my 'HQ'). A few bits of money saving today:
*Sunshiney day so banged a wash on early (caught a bit of the cheap night tariff) - now drying outside on the line for free.
*Leftovers for dinner - the 2nd half of a rather nice pie mr f cooked on Saturday night.
*Round up salad stuff in the fridge draw to serve with it or it's in danger of being wasted :-O
*PAD'd a spare £1 from Clothes Savings Pig into Car Fund.
*Couple of very small surveys - I suppose they all add up.
*Hopefully finish knitting friend's hat later, although I do have to go out this evening, so not sure how much time I'll have.
CCL - Sorry to hear about your partner's health - stressful & difficult to deal with, I'm sure. Take care.

Hi Everyone
Determined - When are you back? I am due next Monday. But you know what they say about no one ever having it on the due date. Im not expecting to. Hope you have lots of fun!
BSCLP - I am a huge (literally at the moment) bubble bath fan too. My favorite bath cream is the Mint original source one. I can smell that stuff for hours, weird bath creature I've turned into
CCL - Well done on keeping everything going in the face of a really tough situation, you are my MSE hero right now
Ziggy - Thanks lovely, hes much better. OH thinks he could have probably gone to school today, but I would much rather him have the rest and stay warm. You take care of yourself too, you need your energy, clearing garages sounds a bit tiring.
Pippi - Your list always sounds so outdoorsy & interesting
Dawn - I actually just said 'oh yum' outloud to the thought of smoked trout. How utterly delicious. How does he do it? Does he have a smoker or is it more informal/bbq etc?
MMM - Did you make any desicions on the trainer situation with the school?
Chocolatelover -Sounds a good day
LegoMum - Hope DH feels better soon. So much of it around!
JoJo - Hope you had a good day off?
Maria - How is your daughter feeding herself at college? She must have a budget herself does she? Can you discuss her contributing? You arent the only person on here I've seen saying similar recently, an extra mouth, particularly an adult one needs consideration.
Foxgloves - Car Pig is doing so well! You are channeling loads that way, its great
Princess - Happy Payday
Today was mad at work. I also didnt feel terrific from a bit of a funny tum last night, I am grateful for the trade however.
Took a library book back to avoid any fines, & renewed 2 others
Used a £1.50 off a £15 shop coupon for the business shopping this morning, which I had found.
Hung some washing out before work.
Cycled/walked journies
Think thats it.

Bob, Glad that your ds is feeling better today. DH will be back to work tomorrow too, (I need him to as he spends too much money being off!!!) My ds1 was due on the 2nd Oct, I did go into labour on my due date but delivered him on the afternoon of the 3rd (which my sister isn't happy about as she now has to share her birthday!) I read of all you are doing this late into pregnancy and I'm in awe! I remember the last few weeks with ds1 and I could barely move, let along cycle, work a full day and everything else you achieve in a single day!!!0

My day ended up very expensive with dh off work as he wants to buy the boys more leg0 making use of the offer from Mr t direct giving 1500 extra points on a £75 purchase, we always get money from his mum for kids bday/xmas etc so he's ordered the leg0 with this in mind (which will cover the cost) and we will then end up with £60 worth of days out tokens as well.
Only other mse thing we did was wash my car with the kids which they both really enjoyedsimple things eh??!!
Fridge is looking very bare now but trying to use up other stores so need to get creative for tomorrow. The forecast is looking good and I've said that I'd help my dad with the paintwork/gutters on our two tenanted houses. So need quick & easy meals, will look in my freezer now!0 -
Well today I cycled to work and back, using the shower at work once I got there.
Not sure how my legs will thank me tomorrow.....
