Free listing offers - general chat thread

As we do get a few chat posts on the main alert thread I thought it might be useful to have this separate thread to discuss any problems or thoughts we have each time there is an offer. As this thread will cover all offers it might be useful when posting to mention your specific offer- assuming that is what you are chatting about.

Remember though that many people never get an email from ebay regarding these offers, so it is worth checking your 'all selling' offers regularly as they will appear in there.

Lastly, most of the offers are now by invite only to remember to accept the offer before listing. Remember also to check the fees showing before you press confirm, there has not been a free listing event now for years where fees have been shown but reimbursed later. If your listing shows a fee being charged then go back and check what has gone wrong BEFORE listing.

In the alert thread it says "25% discount on final value fees on/and 30 free listings", but the offer I accepted is for the discount only (still a good offer), when I click the "Learn More" link it says "This page may have moved or is no longer available.". Anyone else getting the same.

Mine is only the FVF discount, not free listings, and hasn't changed.

Actually I've just gone and checked and my original email says

Get 25% off Final Value Fees
and no insertion fees on your
first 30 listings for two days only.*

The offer though when I accepted only mentioned the FVF discount. I'll list something later and see whether it comes off of my 20 monthly listings or not.

I never get the notification emails, that's why I tried the "Learn More" link to check. It says the offer is active on my All Selling page.

I received an email that clearly states:

...yet the page that opens when you click 'accept offer' now only mentions the 25% off FVF and not the free listings. [And I, too, get the 'page moved...' message on clicking 'Learn more'.]

The offer does appear in the Selling Manager summary page 'Promotional offers' section, but it only mentions 25% off FVF (30 items) and not free listings.

[Assuming you are using the web interface and not the (now-terrible) eBay app, select the 'Selling Manager' link from the left-hand menu, or else 'Summary' if that is shown under Selling Manager.
The Selling Manager Summary page includes a 'Promotional Offers' section, which will show your monthly free allowances. Recently, I saw an offer mentioned there 4 days before it went live. I also got an associated email, but not until the first day of the offer.
It's always worth checking the summary page each Sat/Sun -- most offers go live at midnight, so it's a good time to check a few minutes after.]

The link works when I go through the link in the email but not directly, bit strange so don't know whether above link will show the page or not but it definitely says no insertion fees.

Thanks Purple, the link works for me and says I have already accepted the offer (with free listings as well). As Soolin says, I will check when listing later to see if the 30 is correct or if it comes off my 20 a month tally.

That's why it doesn't work! (Try deleting and re-typing the final '2'.)

I would email eBay to tell them, but they have never listened to me before...

just checked on my phone and has a message ( i dread when it shows i have a message ) and i have the 30 listings & 25% , i was going to use my 20 monthly allowance today so ideal for me

Purple, thanks for the link. I've used up my monthly 20 free listings so having the extra 30 is most welcome, discounted FVFs are the icing on the cake :-) - will try to find some higher value stuff to list.
