Tuesday 22nd September - What small DFW things will you do today?

ziggy2407

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free!
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending!
So be proud of those small steps, they really important! :money:

Good morning Ziggy - thanks for starting us off.
Hope everyone is ok - I managed a much better sleep last night so feel a bit more human, although I have woken with a snotty nose and a sore throat. Ah well.
It will definitely be non stop again today - no doubt at all so my list will have to stay quite small.

I'm back again. Credit card is just getting out of control, I am so swayed by the Clubcard points but am almost glad they are reducing them come December as it won't be such an advantage spending on it.

Morning all
Thanks for the start Ziggy.
Feeling much better today as I went to bed not long after 8 and didn't get up till 8! Unheard of for me, must have needed it!
List for today:
Bed stripped off, linen in machine, hopefully the weather will pick up later so it can go out on the line (it poured with rain for a few minutes when I got up but the sun seems to be coming out now) It keeps randomly pouring down with rain - so it is still in the machineIt is out on the line but has been rained on. Will need to get it in wet
Remake bed with clean linen later Done
Collect prescription
Take pesky library book back Done
Bring some stock bits back from sales unit while out (I am moving to a smaller, but more prominent space within the shop, and have bought all the stock from the outgoing unit holder) Done, made the rest look pretty as an event is taking place in the shop on Friday, which will bring more people in. Sold an item of furniture
Price up plastic storage boxes and bubble wrap for stock that must be moved after the weekend Done
Put some stock items away in the loft Done, but I have more to go in now
HM meals from stores Done
Any surveys available £40 payout from onepoll applied for :T
Task for postal survey Done
Clear at least one garden pot! Done, cut down the mint outside the back door
Pick tomatoes and 'do something' with the last lot - probably roasted tomato soup again, that was nice
Hoover round wooden floors as baby GD will be here tomorrow, and it must be clean for her Done
Free puppy training class at vets tonight
Right, better get on with some of that lot!
Hope everyone has a good day0 -
Even in the terrible rain I walked to work. £2.20 saved.0

So today I have/will:-

* Take photos of bits to put on eBay
* Dust bedroom DONE
* Hoover bedroom
* Dust TV unit in living room DONE

Think that's everything for today. Hope you all have a great day!Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89

Morning!
Rain here first thing but brightening up now - washed dog's bedding last night so will get that on line to dry.
Started a migraine yesterday evening - just flashing lights etc to begin with, but by bedtime I had a full blown headache. Despite painkillers, it lasted most of the night & it's still lurking around this morning.
I've just popped to the shops, but walked instead of cycling - thought I'd be safer on foot than bike with my migraine. Picked up a free pizza using the voucher, also eggs from the WI market & a fresh loaf from the local baker. £3.00 for the lot, so good going.
Hope everyone has a good day.
