  • Hi All, Thanks for the start Ziggy.
Bob, sorry to hear that you've been upset tonight, that's not nice. Did you manage to get ds his shoes from Argos?

Today's been a very spendy day but it was a mixture of planned & necessary.
Necessary spend - 2 new sports bra's (bought from the McArthur glen outlet place) as my current ones are either getting holes in the back or the clasps broken (I would have bought 5 if I could but 2 is better then none!, they don't have a big stock of the brand I want in such a large size  :( )
Planned spend - Hoodie for ds1's birthday
3 Fleece cardies from ms outlet @ £6.50 each
2 pairs of trainers (one for the gym & one to go with jeans) I live in trainers and go through them quite quick so this time I decided to get a pair of my usual kind for the gym £45 and a 2nd pair of much cheaper ones for knocking about it, will extend the time I keep the expensive ones for it that makes sense?!
    Now for the unplanned!!!
1 very thick polo neck jumper, perfect for those freezing but dry days that will be here before we know it! It was in the ms outlet on their clearance rail for £10. When I got home, I peeled the reduced labels off and the first reduced sticker was for £50!!! Dh looked again at the tag and said its 100% cashmere so it should be really expensive!
Again in Ms clearance a pair of black legging's for £3 :)

In small dfw news I have also
    > Checked banking
    > Made blackberry and rhubarb crumble
    > Didn't take purse to swimming lessons
    > Made ds1 go through the bin in his classroom to find an envelope that he binned yesterday thinking it was empty and see if he could find the missing £5 note for his school trip :j He is pleased to have found it as I had told him that if he couldn't then it was coming out of his pocket money!
    > Uploaded 4 receipts onto cos to get the 1p
    > Used new combi microwave to cook turkey joint for tea saving time & energy
    > Boys shared a bath
    > I went to the gym (saving at least £15 a week by doing the classes rather then having a pt)
    > Filled water bottle at the gym

That's about it from me, will be back to post as normal tomorrow
  • Hope the bath helped Bob, can't beat a good soak to relax :-)

I work at a university and have signed up to the newsletter for research studies requiring volunteers. You usually get paid for your time and it's really quite interesting! They are open to the public - just need to go on the website. It's usually medical school or physcology department that run them. I guess it helps that I work on campus but if you have a local uni its always worth a look :-)

Right anyway that's me to bed for today. Very almost a spend free day so happy with that! :-)
