Your contacts may be stored on the phone or on the SIM card. Probably phone by default, but you can copy them across to the SIM, subject to a maximum of maybe 250 or so. Some phones may have a facility to transfer the phone books by infrared or bluetooth
Text message centre number should change automatically. You may need to alter the voicemail access number stored at speed dial 1. And the internet settings may be done automatically or they send them to you by text to install or they may need to be entered manually, depending on the type of phone0 -

I just had the idea that pop it in the other phone and carry on, with no other input needed.
