Get yourself started and type those thoughts in your head
Go on, take the first step and start a new thread
I know you won't regret it because I have seen it before
Take their good advice and be in debt no more

It's National Poetry Day
The theme this year is light
Well I don't switch mine on that much
Because I am so tight!

Poetry Day and the sun is shining
Money Saving tips for a silver lining
I've followed for years the hints and advice
I've carefully saved as my name implies
Now I've made a decision to splash some cash
Nothing too random, silly or rash
But that rainy day might never come
Then I would surely regret the sum
Of money carefully squirreled away
By an over cautious Raine E Day.
My twilight years are galloping up
But I'm one step ahead with my savings cup
So six weeks abroad and lots of fun
While I spend some time in the winter sun
In climes more suited to an OAP
Especially one with a dodgy knee.

There's always room for the Doctor!

Gettingtherequickly

MSE came in to my life
Helped me to deal with financial strife
Now I have cash with knowledge anew
My life is no longer the depths of blue.

I keep reading the forums
May not respond
But the advice remains
The MSE forum bond.

Quick to advise
Quick to critique
Nothing should be taken
In a fit of pique.

The journey may be long
With bumps on the way
But MSE focus
Prevents going astray.

So as you meander
Through life's winding way
Retain some of the knowledge
As you survive each day.

For as you lay down to sleep
You're another day closer
That light in the distance
Is beaming more intense
As the pounds once owed
Are now becoming pence.
