Dizzy does it all have to be ironed? Could you go through it and take out all the things that could just be folded and put away?
Been to my gym class. Kitchen looks a mess again even though it was done earlier. DW needs emptying and refilling. Cant be bothered, will have a bit of a tidy up and do the rest first thing tomorrow.
Shower and ready for bed I think.0 -
I need to let this out as I can't put it on facebook...
As you all know we are on holiday, now we are 300 miles away from home with the two dogs. And you know that scruffybear hasn't been very well and is under the vet for arthritis and his kidneys.
Well tonight, after coming home from being out all day, Scruffy seems to have taken a turn for the worse.. Weirdly he was fine yesterday, bouncy and full of life all day.. Now he can hardly stand, he was standing up and jumping on an armchair with his fleecy on it..but now he can't do it for some reason. He hasn't touched his food, we tried to take him for a walk with Jet, but I ended up bringing him back because he could hardly walk and didn't want to go anywhere.
At the moment he is on his large dog bed, under a dog blanket in front of the fire. He is cold to the touch, his gums are very pale ( I know this is not a good sign as I've been nursing him through this illness for so long I know every little bit of it.) He does pant now and again and is also crying a fair bit for some reason.. He just won't settle.. We have had to turn the main lights off as he gets fretful when they are on, I think his blindness may have deteriated a bit further. It seems everytime he trys to go to sleep he then wakes up and starts crying again.. I dread to think how he is going to sleep tonight...probably not at all poor lamb.
Can't believe how quickly he has deteriated..and we can't get to his vet either. I am going over every scenario in my head..although if he hasn't improved I am going to have to take him to the nearest vet and hopefully they can liase with my vet back in Sittingbourne. Unfortunately if the worse comes to the worse, Dave is going to take it really hard. Then we have the added thing of whether they would be able to get the ashes to our vet, because I am NOT having a dead dog in the cottage however much we love him.
Oh gods I can't believe I have just typed that..
Really not sure what to do now, all I can do with him is give him the reassurance he needs when he starts crying.. and check out nearest vets for tomorrow I think.
Oh and as you can guess Dave is about as much use as a chocolate teapot...All he keeps telling me is to stop crying/sniffling...plus it's always me that comforts the dog not him and Scruffy is his dog. Poor Jet (the other dog!) is so unsure what is going on, he keeps trying to make us laugh..and goes up to Scruffy and sniffing him..then goes and lays down and snores the room out..lol

Yep lovely holiday this could turn out to be. And we only wanted to get away because of the horrible year so far with Dave's dads dementia and then Dave having his heart surgery.. We should have stayed at home..Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

Natty - *Huge hugs*
About to have an early night. I'm struggling to get up now its darker in the morning, so I'm hoping an earlier night will mean an earlier get up. Looking around the house you wouldn't think I've not stopped except for lunch all dayOn the plus side, tonight stew in the SC produced enough for 2 servings to go in the freezer
So that's 7 individual meals in there now which means I should be able to avoid the shops/takeaway when DD next goes away
I best update the list and get moving. I'm hoping, weather permitting, to get a coat of paint on the door tomorrow, but I need to go and see a customer first while she has the day off. So if its gone it's done.
Personal:
- Look at gas and elec renewal
- [STRIKE]Find DD's brolly which she is insisting isn't in her school bag...I'll check the bag when she gets home then look elsewhere :rotfl:[/STRIKE] As suspected, the brolly was in the bag :wall:
- vacuum hall/stairs/landing
- dust hall/stairs/landing
- WM (lights, [STRIKE]darks, towels, [/STRIKE]dog, cleaning cloths)

Right I'm off to bed, since the dog is laying sprawled across the floor I think he's ready for bed as well.

Natty... is it just really cold and affecting him adversely?? Call your normal vet.. ask if they have anyone they recommend where you are and they can fax over his details. Here's hoping he is scaring you for fun and is back to his usually boingy self tomorrow xxLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
