I agree. I've hated google maps since the update. Has anyone ever found a working link to the 'old google maps'?
Incidentally, on the 'new' google maps.....is it still possible to put in walking directions - so it shows the blue line from start to end point - and then go on street view.....and be able to walk using the street view whilst the blue line stays in place on the actual top down map? (there's normally a split screen - one showing the actual street view (road photography) and the other shows your top down location on the map.
Last time I tried that the blue line just vanished. I thought perhaps that was one of the useful features they took off google maps?0
