Google maps..? In the bin...

Am I the only one to find the new google maps all but unusable?

If ever there were a prime example of fixing something that ain't broke, this is it.

As far as I'm concerned, it's 'fixed' all right...

It worked perfectly for me all the way to the Netherlands and back last week, the only time it couldn't cope was with all the diversions and roadworks in Ghent.

Recent changes have really messed it up, I can't even work out how to get all the old features to work. Things like the measuring tool for example....

They've basically tried to make it easier to use for idiots and removed all the features that made it useful.

'Here maps' and 'Here drive' performed better for me in France than Google maps.

Put the start and end points in and press directions.

  • The new map system on the PC is terrible. When they upgraded it originally i used the classic site. But a little while back they blocked access to that.

I even had to notify them that Nottingham was missing, Although they were very quick to add it.

Its so slow to load now and i am on a fibre connection so it's not me.

They have really messed up. They need to put the classic site back.

  • The "new" Maps has been around for ages if that is what people are moaning about, I thought they had just made an update that had screwed things up.
