Don't ignore random upgrade texts, you my be charged

I've just received a text from EE telling me to visit a website to complete the unlocking process of my new Apple device. I don't have a new Apple device, so I rang Orange to query it, fearing fraudulent activity on my account.
Apparently there's a glitch and customers are being sent theses texts and being charged £8.99 unlocking fee, even when no device has been ordered.
The charge has been refunded.
If you get a similar text, don't ignore it.
