If you have access to research that proves that a state telecoms monopoly would provide cheaper and better service I would be interested in reading it.
So would I, but let's just say that it's certainly never worked that way in practice.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

I don't think even Corbyn has suggested nationalising telecoms.
So it's a pointless argument really. Almost as pointless as comparing a telephone system in 1960's to telephone systems today.0 -
I now have to deal with nationalised utilities. I pay vastly more than I did in the UK despite living in a country that digs vast quantities of coal and gas out of the ground and they are, generally speaking, utterly useless. I was once threatened with being taken to court because I hadn't paid my final bill of $0.00.
I worked for the old CEGB for a brief time. They were inefficiency personified. In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0 -
I have had a huge increase in my telecoms prices this year.
Last year after cashback BT paid me £40 to have a phone line and broadband for a year (and gave me a TV recording box and modem thingy as part of the deal.
Where as this year I am having to give sky 6 quid for the same thing and only get a free modem thingy and no tv boxI think....0 -

Without privatisation, we'd still have 1960s telecoms in the UK to this day. When every other 1st world country had push button phones, tone dialing, redial, and much more, we still have bakelite 'phones with pulse dialing.
And remember the days of red dots and green dots? The red dot 'phones were better, and cheaper, but couldn't legally be plugged into those precious Post Office sockets (if you were lucky enough to even have a socket!)I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

What is he going to do about the lack of affordable housing and extortionate rents charged by landlords.
That's going to be all over the news and media.
Profile of the housing issue raised significantly.
Not really, just the usual lefty spin from the BBCommies though. Headlines:
Resounding victory!!!!
The prime minster congratulated Mr Corbyn on his "resounding victory"
Shameful cuts!!!!
He then asked about "absolutely shameful" cuts to tax credits voted through by MPs on Tuesday, on behalf of "Paul," and about cuts to mental health services, prompted by a question from "Gail".0 -

Privatising a large inefficient company does not make it efficient.
Maybe things got better after they got rid of you?I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

Can't believe people are trying to make out BT are efficient.0
