;69168959]Twice before. Same as I paid this time. I think the non-windows one is £10 cheaper.
I dont want my £10 - I wanted the room I booked - a normal one. If I wanted to save £10 I would have booked the standard one.
I would just let it go then as this, as far as I can see, if anything, is all you are ever going to get.
When you say, do I have a leg to stand on, what do you want?0 -
;69168952]Ever stayed in a hotel room with no windows? Its not very nice...
Yes I have.
Several times, usually when I'm going to a concert.
I turn up, dump my bag, go off to listen to a band, come back, go to sleep, check out.
No big deal.

Can't you see how unreasonable this is?
You can't have the room you (say you) booked - it's too late for that.
The hotel (or laterooms) can't turn the clock back 24 hours and give you the room you (say you) paid for, can they?
Be sensible.
Either forget it for this time but be wary about using laterooms or staying in that hotel again or dispute it and ask for your £10 back.0 -
You booked with laterooms and they didn't specify that a room had a window.
You got what the booking website specified - an en-suite double..
To 'expect' and 'assume' is dangerous.
Just how much difference are you talking about here?
And how much of an issue was not having a window for you?
TBF I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a hotel room to have a window, even if it isn't mentioned when booking (what hotel descriptions DO mention a window?)
The lack of window I would expect to be informed of though.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

You arrived late, it's likely they gave you the only room they had left, they couldn't give you what they didn't have.
Have you asked to be moved to the room you paid for when one becomes available.
A move and a refund of the difference for last night would be a reasonable resolution.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

It shows theres a post there but its marked as hidden. Im not even going to look but you can guarantee its something totally off topic, possibly something to do with a completely different thread in the past, and some attempt to have a dig/be funny.....
Am I right?0 -

But they know full well the room categories they have. If they take a booking they should ensure they have the rooms available.
I asked to be moved and they said thats all they had.
Appreciate mistakes happen but in this case they were very rude and their attitude was tough that's all we've got, like it or lump it.0 -

Actually I agree that it's not unreasonable - it's bloody impossible because it's in the past.Paully232000 wrote: »When you say, do I have a leg to stand on, what do you want?0 -

I've never even heard of a hotel room without a window - I'd've thought it was illegal.0 -

Why would it be illegal?
Here's a link to a hotel I've stayed in - some rooms state no 'windows':
