looking forward to the debt collector letters now, i'll probably reply to some of them just for my own amusement before I introduce them to my shiny new shredder0

I agree with the above.
I would go further and suggest that we advise owner/occupiers to ignore tickets when properly parked in their own spaces in residential properties. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
I advise appealing to
1. Lay a paper trail establishing reasonableness in case it goes to court in next six years
2. Stop the operator going for a default judgment because they think you have moved
In the appeal always ask for the information needed to understand their claim. This would be copies of signage, nature of charge and basis of authority.
The fact that they never supply this and just write back with a template puts them on the back foot in the futureDedicated to driving up standards in parking0 -
Wow, they didn't exactly put much effort into that reply did they?
BTW, make sure you get the VCS supplied docs. You have to agree to some rubbish terms, and I would advise just in case not to post them - but make sure you get a copy. In my case, the signage positions and maps of the area don't actually bare much resemblance to my own proofs - good for court.0 -
yeah zoonyx, after ias emailed their rejection to me I logged into their website and downloaded all the evidence that vcs submitted. when I wrote post #27 I was wondering whether or not to post some of the evidence on here. you are right though, I got big warnings in my email that i'm not allowed to reproduce any of that evidence. the pictures are funny though, how a person is supposed to be able to read those signs while driving past, no chance.0

I agree with PTT, as PPCs are currently in the dock for fabricating evidence, only by publicly exposing their arguments can we prevent endemic dishonesty. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0
