Another £8.57 in the offset pot from purchasing a game on sale in USD.
Do need to keep an eye on that balance as it's running a bit low. Hoping to avoid having to transfer funds over, though at least going UK->US means the number gets bigger rather than smaller.
Have avoided food shopping as we didn't get anything on Monday when we got back. Should be able to hold off until the weekend, which would be good.
Had an amusing convo with DH the other day. He mentioned that we could get a preferential rate with N@tionwide on a mortgage, and I asked him what mortgage he thought we'd be getting.Somehow he thought we'd still hav 1-2 years left after our fix ends, so that was a pleasant surprise.

£80.80 from £co, which drops the offset balance to £142,975.76.
Also went for a run this evening, though I barely managed 2 miles. Did run almost 6k at the in-laws (should have known SIL's 30min run would take me 50!), so should be able to keep it up. Off to the GP tomorrow to get bloodwork results as well.0 -
£40 from sw@gbucks came through - split it between mortgage offset pot and electronics savings pot.
Current mortgage: £142,955.76
Have a few bets going on this weekend so hope to end up with an extra £40 or so by Monday.0 -
Well that's a good start to the weekend! :beer:0

Thanks! I don't work that hard on sw@gbucks, to be honest - I just try and hit the minimum daily goal. That gets me about 3k in a month, plus the bonuses for that are another 600ish. That's enough for about 3 £15 vouchers every 2 months. I mostly let everything run through my phone or an extra web browser tab so I don't really have to actively do much to meet the daily goal. It's probably still not technically "worth my time" (for the days where I do have to do a survey or 2 to meet the goal), but I figure the days where I don't have to do anything balance it out.
Edited to add: just looked it up and I've gotten £290.00 from sw@gbucks since I started back up in October.0 -

:T That's brilliant. I tried it once and didn't got on with it so when I reached first cashout I closed my account.0 -
I remember it being way easier to get points when I used it last (almost 10 years ago now), but for mostly passive earnings it's not bad.0

Fairly productive/MSE day!
Finally got around to priming the bathroom now that the plaster is 6 weeks old. Also primed the last kitchen wall which was plastered....2 years ago?Got the first coat on the bathroom and it's looking good - did 50/50 white so it's a lighter variant of what's in our spare bedroom. Will aim to get a second coat on this week sometime.
Went into town with DH for lunch - used nectar vouchers so still spent a decent amount (£27ish) but got another £20ish for free. Had starter/main/dessert plus drinks, so not bad. 5 hours later and I'm still pretty full.
Got a pair of trousers and a cardigan at the charity shop, and spent the exact amount available on a gift card on a pair of jeans.I've been trying to find decent-looking/comfortable trousers for about a year, so to find 2 pairs in one day is a definite result. DH got a too-large shirt (I'll tackle taking in the side seams), a book and a dvd boxset at the charity shop as well.
Had a fencing/landscaping guy round this morning to quote on our work. Unfortunately some of the supplies we bought are useless (posts too small, stakes unsuitable), but at least the fence panels should be fine. He's going to give us a detailed quote this week - I hope it's an OK amount as he seemed like a nice guy and he's based locally.
My feet are really aching today - probably in part because I haven't really sat down much besides lunch time, in part because my shoes are reaching the end of their comfortable lifespan. Will need to keep an eye out on sales to see if I can snag new shoes/sandals at a bargain.0 -
£2 added to the offset pot courtesy of surveys.
Bought a pair of shoes from cl@rks outlet but they really weren't comfortable when they arrived.Ordered a different pair in the cl@rks sale going on this week that should work out about £2 cheaper than the pair I'm returning. They're the same as the 1+ year old pair I have now so I'm confident they'll work. Forgot to go for cashback , but at least that's only £1.20 missed out.
Making a good amount from MB this week between the football and Ascot. Think I'm close to £200 from the last week.
Super tiring week this week, so probably a quiet weekend. Would like to finish painting and make more progress on the downstairs toilet, and maybe go for a run (have been putting it off due to sore feet from the old shoes). Otherwise not much planned.0
