  • Love it hidden! It's like an addiction!

  • It really is....:o
  • Quiet day here. DH liked his birthday gift (was meant to be gifts plural, but they're all off k!ckstarter so 3 things are delayed...thankfully he doesn't mind :o). Made a super quick (10min) chocolate pudding which we'll enjoy once it cools down from center-of-the-sun hot.

I was good and braved a run. Survived with minimal hacking, though now I'm extra exhausted. As I've felt pretty exhausted just sitting on the couch for the last week, I suppose that's not too bad. 24 second slower pace than two weeks ago when I ran for 20 minutes, but I did run a whole 2min more today. :D

Back to work tomorrow. My days off last week were a bit wasted as I was zonked out on the couch and napped both days, but better than trying to work. Hoping tomorrow will be better re: exhaustion.
  • Present mortgage is £173,961,
    £80,785 is interest only
    £93,920 is capital repayment.
Is it better to pay a lump sum to the interest only part or the capital repayment part ?

    Many thanks 😊
  • Hi Krdproperty, it would depend on the interest rates of both bits and how large the lump sum would be. If you know those numbers, I'm happy to run the numbers for you. :)
  • £18.27 from the weekend's MB. :) Managed to not screw any up, and made 17p on a qualifying bet as well, which is a minor miracle.

Current mortgage: £152,759.21. Daily interest for next month is currently sitting at £10.00, and there's another £148.45 in the budget to head to the mortgage.
  • Ooooh, 3 figure daily interest beckons. Major milestone in my opinion!
    MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......
  • Thanks, SJ! In theory we should knock off ~14p daily interest per month, so the numbers should go down at a pretty good pace. :)
  • Man, this week feels exhausting and it's only Tuesday.

Met up with friends for dinner last night. £0 left in our eating out budget (thanks to DH's birthday meal earlier in the month), but stole from our culture & !!!!!! budget as we don't have any plans to see anything in particular as we've just been to 3 shows in 2 months. (Also have more theatre vouchers to use as this is our annual xmas gift from my dad.)

Back to work, which is both good (no annoying cats or dogs mourning their kongs at work) and bad (so tired). Have managed to run on Sunday and today, amazingly, and minimal hacking throughout. Hoping for Thursday/Sunday to finish up week 7 of my 9 week 5k program. Not that I'm running a 5k distance (just shy of 2 miles in 25min today), but that's ok. Three-quarters through the audiobook of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, which is my running accompaniment (surprisingly good for motivation as I've read the books before so can tell myself to keep up this pace until X happens, or until the end of the current chapter).

Otherwise just waiting for pay day. My one year anniversary at work was last week but I haven't heard anything about an annual review yet. Hoping that'll happen sometime in the next month so I can stop worrying about it.

Well done for keeping up with your runs! I made the mistake of going to a body pump class yesterday and am now hobbling around so bad that I don't know if I can go on another run ever again :o

I agree re: the long week - I'm absolutely exhausted and am counting down the hours to the weekend pretty much (and pay day Friday, woop!). Fingers crossed you get called in for an annual review soon though - I'd especially be keen for any changes to get processed before next month's payroll cut off date!
