  • sorry to hear your bad news :(
  • Thanks, all. I'm trying to focus on the fact that she's free from illness/pain/suffering now.

In MSE news, £25 from Sw@gbucks arrived so that's been sent to the mortgage. Only £188.17 to go to break through the £10 daily interest barrier. :)

IFA has clarified that his fee does have a cap, which is good - didn't fancy paying a straight percentage in a few years when our pension pot is worth a lot more than it is now! Also clarified the fees with the pension provider, which are both lower (management fee that can't be avoided) and higher (fee for the specific fund mix I'm in currently) than I thought. Still reasonable, especially if the IFA can streamline those costs as well. Will chat with him later in the week when I have a voice again.

On holiday tomorrow/Friday - was originally hoping to work on the garden, but given my cold/the weather that might not happen. We'll see, though - would be nice to try and tidy it a bit. Otherwise not much else planned.
  • £13.09 from T$B cashback sent off to the mortgage. :)

No garden work today, but I did consider it at least? :rotfl: My cough is less frequent (no less hacky, sadly) but my head feels like it's stuffed full of cotton, even with decongestants.
  • Accidental OP yesterday. :rotfl:

Have a few MBs set up for today which I paid out of one of the 5% accounts. Thought I transferred £40 back into the 5% account but (of course) habit kicked in and I must have selected the mortgage instead. Thankfully it's in the budget already but I had planned to wait for payday.

At any rate, current balance is £152,777.48 :D

love the 'accidental overpay' - shows where the heart is !
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
