I'd be very surprised if any motorist can honestly say that they have never gone through an amber light when they could of safely stopped.

If you gamble and get caught hard luck

Obviously I would had to hit the brake too sudden and too hard to stop. I was driving with a bit less than 30mph and I was very close to the traffic light

These two statements absolutely contradict each other.

If you were "very close doing a bit less than 30" and would have to "hit the brake too sudden [sic] and hard to stop" then you wouldn't have needed to "speed up and pass it".

If you're going to waste bandwidth with trolling, please at least keep things consistent :)

It's not irrelevant at all, we all know amber means stop but people shouldn't preach when they are guilty of the same sin.

Let's put it this way. If the camera flashed at you twice with 1 second intervals you've been caught. They don't flash with no film. If they are digital they would have been downloaded Monday. Wait and see if you get a nip. If you were under 5 sec after red you will be offered a course orbs fine and points if you have already been on one in the last three years. After 5 seconds you will get summons. It's a waiting game now. Sorry

Crossing an amber is one thing, speeding up to deliberately jump the lights is something entirely different.

I would suggest filming the junction to confirm whether the gap between the light changes is correct.
