Hi,
My daughter is having a 9th birthday pool party, we have been given half an hour from 6:30 -7 after the swimming to give the (20 ish) kids food (and do the cake)... the centre will be closed to the public so we will be bringing our own food...
I wonder if it will be quite tight for time and was thinking about having party food boxes, but wondered what people thought about doing this for older kids? Was thinking of doing two types of sandwich in dofferent colour boxes (half ham half cheese so they have a choice) then just something like crisps, carrot sticks, grapes, choc bar, and then some cake once we have cut it?
Party bag wise I have just decided to do sweet cones... so it'll also give them a way to carry the cone and the cake home...
What do you think? any pitfalls?
Thanks :-)

Maybe some spare sandwiches ready incase it's not an even split so that they can be easily switched if you get to the end and one option has been more popular than the other?Planning to be debt free by 11/20. MFW Jan 2028 - [STRIKE]86700[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]83057.20[/STRIKE]

The food selection sounds fine to me. Those retro-looking paper lunch bags are pretty popular too, and may be cheaper and more portable than the boxes?0

We've done food boxes like this before and they went down a treat. I'd say that bread rolls worked better for the older kids than standard sandwichesCurrently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

It's not hard to buy vegetarian cheese, you just need to check when buying.
(Non veggie myself, but with veggie rellies.)
Otherwise peanut butter, with or without jam, would go well.0
