Hi I am in again but am going to up my budget to £350 this month to include all food, household stuff, catfood and litter and takeaways. This is to take into account all the extras I need to buy for Christmas and the winter in general. I like to have a good stock in for bad weather as I can't get out when it's really bad.

    Good luck everyone.

Please can you put me down for £400 for November. It is a five week month for us. I blew last month with a lot of extra spending in the last week which pushed the total up quite a bit but some was meat which will fill up the freezer.

This month I am cutting down the weekly spend and hoping to use up the stores. The freezer isn't too bad but the pantry is overflowing. I must do a stock list and meal plan.

Are usual healthy eating has gone a bit adrift so we need to get back on track.

I am away for most of next week with all meals covered and DH is away the following weekend so will stock up on SW supplies for DH this week and make do until after he is back from his trip to do a main shop. We do need a few cleaning supplies this month too.

Big thanks for running this great thread... Can I join in again this month please? Blew October's budget into orbit, so I am really hoping November will be better. £350 for me x
  • Morning all

Joining in, although not posting very often at the mo, budget of £250 and we'll see where we get to.

Have been getting store cupboard stuff which has added extra to the spends but at least we have stuff in so wouldn't need to go if not well/bad weather/CBA etc.

Am only buying proper stuff (no sweets/crisps/snacky rubbish), if anyone wants a biscuit they'll have to make it first!!!

Thanks everyone, this thread has really helped as we were spending over £500 a month when I first started we are now down to somewhere around the £250-£350 with much less waste and we eat better. Still a work in progress and more to be improved on but it really helps to see what you are all doing and feel I'm not alone.

    Have a lovely weekend.

    Hi

Please may I join the November challenge. 250 for the month please.
I have cancelled my Mr T delivery account and so have done a last big order of £129 for 8 november. So will have to be very careful after that.
2015 has been the year for
    packed lunches
    everything home cooked.
    No takeaways
    No ready meals
    No junk food ~(almost)
    Thanks

Can I join in this month? I would like a spend of
£300 but ideally I would like to try to save £50 of that for next month's Christmassy bits.

My problem is going to the corner shop for 'little bits and bobs' I really need to do an online shop at the weekend and do a small top up shop at Ald! during the week!

This is for me, my DS (teenager and has hollow legs!) & 2 cats, I think its doable if I get my lazy behind in gear! I will try to post often as I think that will focus my spending!

OK, have a good Saturday everyone.
