Whilst I do think the OP's friend made a stupid remark, I do think when people say stuff like coloured or any other apparently offensive old fashioned names, they don't actually mean anything by it. And to attack them and deride them like they are horribly bigoted and racist is just daft. As has already been said, obsessive political correctness causes more racial tension than people who say the 'wrong' thing.
People need to lighten up, seriously.Proud to have lost over 3 stone (45 pounds,) in the past year! :j Now a size 14!
