Friday 11th September - What small DFW things will you do today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free!

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending!

So be proud of those small steps, they really important!:money:

    Morning ziggy :wave: thanks for starting the thread! How are you feeling now?

    Well today is a home day for dgd :j (really missed her yesterday!) so I plan for us to go for a walk in the local woods (and see if there are any elderberries to pick ;)) go to the park on the way back, and then this afternoon I'm thinking of doing a massive floor painting session (lining paper on the ground outside and then hopefully it will be a hands and feet kinda painting :D)

    We are off to Gulliver's Travels theme park tomorrow which I totally forgot about :o so need to get some bits for our packed lunch. Might ask oh to pick them up on his way home ;)

    Other things I need to do:

    * post ebay items
    * buy train tickets for dd and post them to her
    * [STRIKE]take washing to ex-mil's[/STRIKE] no need wm is working! Problem is with the plug socket. A problem for another day....
    * all meals from stores
    * [STRIKE]onepoll - 10p to payout :T[/STRIKE] [/STRIKE]just reached payout :j and have requested the money :T
    * really really start wine today :j
    * call FU re dd
    * [STRIKE]water plants in greenhouse[/STRIKE]

    Ok not sure if I'll get anything else done today. Feel like I'm going to have my hands full! :D

    Hope everyone has a great day xxx

    Morning all :)
    Thanks for starting us off Ziggy.

    List for today:
    Wash kitchen floor (done)
    Some of egg mountain for breakfast (done)
    Shopping delivery shortly
    Hoover round downstairs
    Put away some sales stock which is currently all over the living room :o
    Make up spare beds for grand daughters who are arriving after school today to stay the weekend. These two are a bit of a handful, so I don't expect to get much done once they are here!
    Make a cake
    Get some more tomatoes into the dehydrator
    Any surveys that come my way
    Train pup - we are doing 'sit' today. This will need repeating frequently, but brushing and combing he decided he liked yesterday, so no need for a training issue there. He only looked slightly less scruffy for a very short while after though :rotfl:
    Take pup for his second vaccination later and enquire about timing for microchipping (not sure if he is still too small) and neutering (definitely too small)
    Grit teeth when grand children play up at bedtime and don't go to sleep until about midnight and then are very tired tomorrow :( They are quite good at home, but VERY controlled, and bless them, they go a bit mad when away :eek:

    OK, better get on!
    Hope everyone has a good day :)

    I think it's 4 weeks old and weighing at least a pound for micro-chipping. You have til April 2016 to get the dog done under the new law.

    You know there are a few places micro-chip for free? Details here. (Link) (Link2)

    Morning DFW-ers, :wave:

    I'm feeling very frazzled and can't write a whole list in advance. I'm going to just add to this as I do each thing.

    I'm just tired and stressed. Yesterday my phone never stopped ringing; call after call from before dawn to after dusk. :( I'll be ok once I've relaxed over the weekend.

    Nillionaire Month Four:

    * Limited caffeinated drinks to one today. Any more won't help the adreneline coursing through my body.

    * Turned alarm clock off at the wall til tonight.
    Electricity saving.

    * Checked broadband allowance. It's ok, we've not over used.

    * Look at i-say points balance. One more survey and I'm in for a voucher. Free entertainment or food.

    * Walked to chemist to collect 'free' prescriptions. Had to wait ages while they found our items and managed to lock myself out of my Patient Access prescriptions App while the pharmacist was tracing our order. Still, got a free carrier bag and it was free exercise. :D

    * Checked Finances. No sign of refund that will "definitely be in today". Hmmm. Will look again later.

    * Called an organisation who need me to complete a vital online form that may bring us money to say that their computer won't allow me to put in my address. It says the property doesn't exist.

    * Checked PayPal. They still haven't processed an outgoing refund. Nothing I can do other than wait. Customer services unhelpful.

    * Bit of free fun on Twin Strangers. (Link)

    * Ploughed through all my emails.

    Have a good day all.
