Moonbeam - why don't you start yourself off by going for walks/fast walks until your chest feels up for a run? That way you're starting the routine of exercising as I know how much I struggle to get back into it once I get out the habit!Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89
Current debt - £5,555.00
Total paid off - £10,045.89 (64% paid off)0 -

Still going:
* Coupon for Flora in the post.
* Unhelpful letter from credit card company to whom we complained over terrible customer service and repeated rejected payments meaning we can only pay our credit card bill by one payment method. They did not find in our favour as they are conveniently unable to find the recordings of the series of phone calls we made to them in which you would hear the worst levels of incompetence I've experienced in a long time. Too tired to escalate this to the Ombudsman. Will just forget it. As we only use the card to get rewards and then repay it immediately I'm going to wait til the next rewards arrive and switch to a better company.
* Transfered a radio interview with my partner's late mother from audio cassette to CD. Used free Linux software: Traverso and K3b.
* Job-seeking done.

Take it easy Moonbeam. I think you know when you feel OK to exercise and when your body is telling you to rest!
DS needs new socks. I suddenly had a thought that I put some away that were too big and yes, 6 brand new pairs in his cupboard. Very pleased.
I am trying to stick to £30 a week for general spending. This week has been £37.40! This includes £10 for a new tie and school book, £8 for DSs hair cut, £4 for my gym class and £5 spent in the chemist. I have also given the kids a total in £7 for when they have been going out somewhere. Not too bad I suppose.
Trying to do as much washing as I can, rain forecast tomorrow. HM burgers for tea. Going to do a bit of tidying upstairs and might get 5 minutes with my library book before DS comes home from school.0 -
Afternoon all, weather has been dry in South Wales again so another day in the garden with my dad.
Today I have
* Walked boys to & from the bus
* Checked banks/updated spreadsheet
* Checked luckyphone
* Replaced some flooring in the garden shed before is goes through using other bits of wood we had in the garage
* Cut back loads of crocosmia (sp?) from the garden that was taking over.
* Repurposed a table for the garden, will need to strip it back, screw a few extra screws in and re paint soon
* Breakfast was crustless quiche made using left overs
* Didn't have time for lunch
* Went to the gym & did 30 minute class (OMG I found it really tough!) also walked 20 minutes on the treadmill and filled water bottle there.
* Walked more then my target of 7000 steps for bounts points (as at 4,30 pm 15030 done)
* Entertainment tonight will be Episodes which we discovered last night on Netflix
Can't think of anymore as I'm shattered!

My ring has a single layer of waterproof sticking plaster on the inside edge to tighten it.Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0 -
