    To pay:

Moving costs (van hire etc) - ?
    Solicitors fees - ?
    Estate Agents fees - ?
Homebuyers Information Pack costs - ?
    Stamp duty - £1,300
    Mortgage arrangement fee - £299
    Valuation fee - £160

*runs away very scared and hides under the bed*

It cost me just slightly under £300 to be moved - about 5 hrs work.
You can hire a big van round here for about £40 per day - shop around, you should get cheaper.

Nice house BTW - scarey furnishings...

Was that for a man and a van? We are hoping to just hire a van and do it ourselves, as our house is quite small (and only 5 minutes up the road) and we don't have anything so expensive that we couldn't risk damaging it. I'm hoping Stu will be able to persuade a couple of his mates to help. (ohhh, I'm assuming it's definitely going to happen aren't I....:o)

What, you don't like the teak effect fire surround and floral carpet??:D

It looks almost exactly like our current house looked when we first moved in, and we have spent the last 7 years stripping away any signs of chintziness, so I guess we could do it all over again....sigh....:o

I do think this would be our 'forever' house though, so it would be worth the effort. :j

The £300 was for three men and 2 vans.

It won't be - you'll downsize after the kids go.
