Thanks very much - I've got so much reading to do....thank goodness I've finished Harry Potter!
I've got your pm Ev, and I've replied.
The health visitor has popped in today too, and is sending me some more info - she's also going to speak to Ryan's school nurse (who is based at the same clinic as she is), so that she can help keep an eye on Ryan too.
We have had a bit of a mad cleaning spree today, the house is looking great from top to bottom, and we have dug out a load of stuff for eBay, and some other big bags for the charity shop and the tip!
Natasha is wriggling on the playmat next to me, Stu and Ryan are playing on the playstation upstairs (actually not yelling at each other for once!) and all is peaceful.....ahhhhhhhhhh!!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
now that sounds like heaven to me0

El - It is!
We are going to have the second of our Aldi cook-in sauces for dinner - black bean sauce (59p :T ). I hope it's as nice as the Tikka Massala one was. Going to do it with quorn and some peppers that are on their last legs, and will make some fried rice with leftover rice from yesterday and and egg that is ever so slightly past it's sell by date...."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Thanks stressed (great user name - I love it
). You must be an expert on all this by now then if you have a 14 year old with it. Is that why you're stressed?
Thanks for the offer, and I may well take you up on it.
Part of me is still a bit shocked, part of me relieved, and part of me feels like I sort of knew all along...lol.
Although we haven't got a definite diagnosis yet, and may not have for several months, a quick read on the internet confirms that Ryan fits more or less all the symptoms, so I'm fairly sure they are right this time.
Oh, and the black bean was nice - but not quite as nice as the tikka massala.....the fried rice was a winner though! :T"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Quick message for Pap - here's Natasha in the outfit you sent her:
She looks lovely in it, thanks! :A"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Hi Snaggles
Not an expert but learning to live and cope with it - most days a challenge in one way or another
Stressed.mum? He is one of the reasons I'm stressed - him and his 3 sisters:eek:
He was diagnosed at 6 so I have had plenty of time to learn.
Did you know you should be able to claim DLA for your son?

Evening Mrs S

Lol....mine is looking untidy again already.....how does that happen so quickly??
Stressed, I didn't know about the DLA, so thanks for that - I presume we will have to wait until he has a definite diagnosis, but it's something to bear in mind for the future. Would that then affect tax credits etc, or is it completely separate?
My Mum and Dad have dropped my birthday present off (they are off to France for a few weeks so will be away). I'm hopeless with surprises though - I'm dying to peek!
DO NOT let me sneak a look at the present before my birthday....LOL!! :rotfl:"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Hi Snaggles
You should be able to claim now - but probably best to wait until diagnoise - then you will have that to back your claim
Can I suggest you start a diary of any "additional care" your son needs - you need to prove he needs more care and attention than another child of his age ( I hate the word "normal" but that is what it means!)
Depending on what rate you get your tax credits should increase too depending on what you earn you could also claim Carer's allowence
Hope that helps - shout if you want to know anything else
