Riiiighhht.....where can I find £1360??
Sharesave - will need £4k to pay off offset loan (another change of plan - will explain in a minute!), hoping to get £5k (realistic), so £1k left.
Council Tax - don't pay in Jan/Feb (normally Feb/Mar but we're a month ahead for some reason), which will save £160
Top Cash Back money due shortly - £80
Quidco money due shortly - £124
Paypal account currently standing at £60
Total = £1424 :T
There's another option which is to suspend payments on some of my sharesaves for a couple of months - I don't want to suspend the one that pays out next year, but if I suspended 2 months payments on each of the others, that would save me £400, so that's the back-up plan if everything goes wrong!
Oh, and just a quick note about why I'm paying off the Offset Loan, rather that the Personal Loan - I wont have quite enough to clear the full loan, and the interest rates are very similar, so I will pay off the offset loan for now. Once I'm back at work, I'll decide whether to repay the personal loan from the offset loan or not, and will start saving up to tackle it. I'm just nervous of making things too tight/difficult for ourselves, and this seems like the best solution, although I'm not sure I've explained why I'm doing it properly, so feel free to ask me any questions and I'll try and explain my 'logic' (I use the term loosely....:D)."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Sounds like a fab plan Snaggles - will be tight, but if it means you can stay off for an extra 3 months, it's worth it, eh? I think that the fact you've planned it all out to in such detail, will mean you stick to it! What are you doing about Christmas pressies etc? You already saved up/ bought all that!?

hi snaggles,
I think you have the shortfal nailed which is great, welldone you!!
I'm sure your decision to pay off the offset would be fine, at the end of the day it's a debt thats going which is only a good thing right?

Hahahahaha - errrr, good point about Xmas presents Sea - I'm sort of relying on the fact that Stu is earning more in this job than he was before. The original plan was to use some of his extra money to help me stay off longer, but this way I don't have to.......I'll just have to ask him for pocket money! :rotfl:"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

Pania - I have complained so much about sore boobs you would think they had fallen off! :rotfl: They're much better now though.
Natasha and Ryan are both doing well thanks, Natasha is starting to get over her cold, and Ryan has his next appointment with the speech therapist tomorrow, and his first autism assessment on the 12th of November (I think), and he's coping really well with things at the moment.
He's had a couple of minor meltdowns on holiday, but he's so brave and he just keeps bouncing back. My main ambition in life is to be the Mum that he needs me to be, so that he can be the person he wants to be. I'm not there yet, but I'll get there.
Hope you had a nice day in Manchester Ellidee!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Grrrrrr, Ryan's appointment has been cancelled.....half an hour before he was due to go! So my Dad drove 30 miles to babysit Natasha for absolutely no reason, and Ryan has now got a late mark at school, because we didn't get there until after registration. He would have had a late mark anyway because of his appointment, but now he will get another one when they eventually rearrange his appointment.
