Len, it's £76 a month I think (we purposely took it over a long period because we always intended to clear it early, so it was a low monthly payment. The interest rate is pretty good on it, but we will save quite a lot clearing it off now).
BB, exactly - I had a slight wobble when I went to click on 'sell', and then I pictured how I would feel paying off the loan and realised it would be worth feeling a little pang of regret at some point, in order to feel so relieved and happy now! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Ouch Annie, that sounds painful, poor you. How exciting about the laptop though!
El, yep, I finally did it! I would have done it last week but was so busy I forgot! It worked out for the best though, because they have increased quite a bit since then.

Oh brilliant, £76 is a lot of money. Have you made plans for it yet?
I'm going to start a new thread next week to motivate myself to clear that loan too. The sharesave in August would clear most of it, but that would leave us with nothing, and we could really do with a new bathroom!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Well done babe!
I think putting tht £76 towards the 'home improvement loan' is a brilliant idea.
I'm envious. xEmpty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
Great to hear that you can clear the car loan Snags. Could the remainder go towards your new bathroom ? XX ElNothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0
