Thanks Spud! :) (although you will change your mind when you see it...lol!)

Tig - Natty hasn't got enough hair to catch nits... :rotfl:

Hope the funeral goes as well as these things can - love to all of you.

    *Yawn*

    Morning!

We had a bad night with Natasha last night, she wasn't well at all. We gave her Calpol, and about half an hour later (once we found the thermometer) her temperature was 39.9 degrees, so I really dread to think what it was before the Calpol.

We ended up sitting with the front door open at midnight, with Natasha just in her vest, and eventually her temperature came back down again. This morning she seems back to normal again though!

Need to vac up before Ryan goes to school so he can entertain Natasha while I do it (she hates the vac). So I suppose I'd better get on with it! :D

Have a nice day everyone. :)

Ours too....I always like to think that keeping your house TOO clean isn't healthy for your mind OR your body, and that by having some dirt I am helping her immune system to develop! :rotfl:

Although I'm running round frantically this morning trying to get everything clean and tidy because one of the other 'bad mothers' might call later with her little girl.

Must remember to watch what happens to the shares today too - interesting news this morning about the 'big banks' asking the Bank of England to do *something* (didn't quite catch what) to restore confidence in banks. Not sure what effect that will have.

I've decided I'm only going to sell them if they will make enough to pay off the loan (but wont be greedy and hold out for more), so fingers crossed!

It's gambling. Stick to the rules - would losing a bet hurt more than winning one would benefit. For me losing £50 on horses would be so much horribler than winning £500 from betting the same £50. Waht can you afford to gamble....

If they go above what you need and hold on and the subsequently fall - you'll be watching and kicking self. If they go above and you sell but they go up a bit more you'll be kicking youself. But which will cause the most kicking of self (too much kickking in this ramble) and which is the worse scenario.... I don't like shares or gambling - too neurotic/obsessive and liable to watch and obsess on the numbers.

No, don't worry, as soon as they go high enough, I will sell them - they would have definitely been sold yesterday if only I had been checking them instead of gossiping with my neighbour! :)

I did almost sell them at a very low price, but after talking it through with a few people, I decided to hang on until they are enough to pay off the loan in full.

The main reason is that if we can't afford to clear the loan straight away, I know we would end up spending some of the money (microwave has just stopped working, and I don't think the tumble drier will be far behind...). And we could easily get to the stage where we would have no hope of clearing the loan.

If they fall even further, I can live with them being a longer term investment, because the car loan is, I suppose, what Martin would call 'good' debt (if there IS such a thing), in that it's at a low rate, we can afford the repayments and it was planned for. So if necessary we can just keep it until the end of it's term. Hopefully it wont come to that though.
