    Thanks Snags xx

Andy had his large intestine (sp?) removed yesterday and now has a Stoma but they hope to reverse that in approx 3 months by making his small intestine stretch ITMS - any sense at all, it confuses me, but glad its done and more of the horrible badness has gone but hes not coping well and is upset about having a Stoma but he knows that it needed doing so we're just plodding along, hes going to be in hospital for about another 2 weeks but hopefully this will be it. He will need more treatment obviously but we are taking each day as it comes :)

Oh, and I ahve replied to all my PM's so dont worry about that - you're an angel though :A

Have you seen the online calorie counter from about.com Snags? It tells you how many cals to eat and how much exercise (they count internet and sleeping :D) you need.
You just input what you've eaten and it knows lots of foods. I've been using it for a couple of days, quite good. Will try and find the link.

Aww Weller, you must have been going through hell - I hope Andy has a speedy recovery from the op. My Dad had a stoma a couple of years ago - like Andy they said it was hopefully temporary, and last year he had a successful operation to reverse it. He had a blip when he got a hernia near where the stoma had been, but this was fixed, and he has been fine since.

It took him a long time to come to terms with having the stoma though, but eventually he did, and I'm sure Andy will too. Don't forget my offer of a coffee if you ever need someone to talk to.

Gemmzie - thanks, I will have a look at that. I'm pretty sure I'm not over-eating, because even when I cut right down and was definitely UNDER eating (because I was shaking and dizzy), I still didn't lose anything.

I think some of it could be hormonal too - with the breastfeeding and the irregular...well, you don't want all the gory details I'm sure :o....I'm sure I have all sorts of dodgy hormones causing havoc. I've even got spots for goodness sake....grrrrr! :D

Not sure if it takes into account breastfeeding, but I'm pretty sure it's hard to lose weight when you are unless you drink a lot of water.
