Afternoon all, sorry for not updating, we've had a busy few days, plus the computer is playing up. My BIL wants us to buy his laptop (12 month old high spec Sony Vaio) for £200, which is possibly a bargain, but not sure where we will find the money, unless he will accept payment in instalments..:rotfl: We really do need a laptop though, so we might have to find the money from our budget somehow.

Just rang BT to see if we can have our BT line reconnected (got cable at the moment), but they would charge us £125! When I laughed and said I didn't want it doing then, he tried to be sneaky and said 'Well, you can either pay it all up front or pay it monthly....which would you prefer?' Cheeky burger!

I only wanted it so we could have Sky, as it would be a bit cheaper than Virgin, but I'm not THAT bothered!

I've just rung the tax credits people up and given them the new details of my salary and Natasha's nursery fees - just need to wait and see what happens now. Fingers crossed. :)

Hey Snaggles - At home bargains there are dr who egg cup sets for easter - do you ever go there? If not I might be going and could send you one? Or drop one round actually (be cheaper :D) when I'm next in Leeds.

Also I lost 7lbs with NO effort in a week when I finally gave up bf William - tried really hard before, but my body was not going to let go of the weight until the bf stopped. Wasn't my decision to stop - it was his lol!!
    Hi Sea

We live about 5 minutes from Home Bargains, so I'll call in and have a look, thanks. :) Although if you fancy a coffee next time you're in Leeds, you're more than welcome!

I've started AGAIN with the diet today - going okay so far, but I could really eat some chocolate...:rotfl:

I seem to do that every Monday at the moment, and by Tuesday I'm usually planning to start the diet next week :o

No, I just start thinking about the diet again on Tuesday - I've usually broken it by mid-morning Monday :o

Lol, I see I am in excellent diet company here! :rotfl:

In fact I've done quite well today. One little slip-up that involved 2 jaffa cakes, but that's admirable restraint, no? :D

Apart from that I have had rice crispies, slice of toast, home made soup (tomato, olives, basil and capers, which might sound gross but it's really nice :o) and quorn shepherds pie.

I've just been scouring Quidco (have been a bit lax recently) and have made about £15. I was a bit lucky though, because I did something a bit naughty...teehee.

I signed up for the National Lottery online thing (50p cashback), and it said if you bought a ticket, you got another £3.50 cashback. But the catch is that you can't pay for ONE ticket, you have to transfer a minimum of £5 into your account.

By the time I realised that, Ryan had chosen some numbers, so I felt mean not putting them on, so I did the transfer of £5.

Then I thought, what on earth am I going to do with the other £4, as I don't usually play the lottery, apart from the syndicate at work. So I decided to play one of the instant games (Ryan picked the game, and he actually played it too). And we won £2! Woohoo.

So we then were back up to £5 in the account, so could transfer it back to my account.

So £4 from Quidco, and I haven't actually spent a penny (AND have a lottery ticket for Saturday ).

Think I'll get Ryan to make ALL my financial decisions from now on! :)
