are you sure we werent seperated at birth pmsl :rotfl:

i could get lost nipping to the loo.

i am hoping to get used to it,just need to adapt my whole routine as i am a bit obsessive with having to do my washing cleaning etc but if i get too knackered something will have to give and housework will be it.

i came downstairs this morning as dh had cleaned up all dan's 'making' things and emptied the dishwasher and i did give him a kiss and say thankyou as i don't want him being taken for granted as its always been him that works/out of the house (away for 7 months) and i have always been the one to do these things but he has said if i leave him a list for lunch time he will do what he can.

so mrs s how are you going to make £60 last???

I'm going to go and do a list of everything in the freezer, because there's LOADS in there, so I'm hoping we can manage on £20 a week for milk/bread/fruit/veg etc. We did a shop a few days ago so shouldn't need anything else this week anyway.

Other than that, just keep our finger crossed and hope for the best?? :o

Back in a bit with my freezer list....brrrrrrrr.

i should have budgeted slightly more with half term as they were like locusts.

my budget is starting to slip slightly (more than slightly:o ) so i really need to get on top of list making again.

    In cupboards/fridge etc

    Cook-in sauces
    Tomato and herb
    Tomato and bacon
    Creamy tomato
    Swedish style meatball sauce
    Chicken supreme
    Peppercorn
    Lasagne
    Sausage casserole
    Beef in ale

    Fresh fruit and veg
    Onions
    Peppers
    Carrots
    Lettuce
    Cucumber
    Tomatoes
    Courgettes
    Potatoes
    Bananas
    Pears
    Apples

    Random things
    Pasta
    Rice
    Noodles
    Baked beans
    Chopped tomatoes
    Various soups
    Lasagne sheets
    Dried lentils
    4 cans tuna
    Plain flour
    SR flour
    2 x naan breads
    curry paste

Then we have all the usual things like milk, cheese, ham, bread, margarine, oil, herbs, spices, butter, jam, cereals, crisps, drinks, yoghurts etc so lunches are no problem. We've got enough babyfood for the rest of the week too.

So now I just have to come up with 3 weeks worth of meals, buying only the bare essentials each week, and trying to be reasonably healthy at the same time! Easy peasy! :o

Hahaha, not even remotely, hence the large amount of food lurking in the freezer that hasn't been used!

Right, menu plan for the next week and a bit:

    Thursday
    [strike]Vegetable pasta bake[/strike]

    Friday
    Spicy chicken and rice

    Saturday
    Shepherds pie

    Sunday
    Chicken piri piri and pasta

    Monday
    Burgers and salad

    Tuesday
    [strike]Jacket potatoes, beans and salad[/strike]

    Wednesday
    [strike]Veg stir fry and noodles[/strike]

    Thursday
    [strike]Tuna pasta bake[/strike]

    Friday
    [strike]Quorn keema curry and rice[/strike]

    Saturday
    [strike]Chicken casserole[/strike]

    Sunday
    Lasagne

Edited to cross off the meals we have made, although we haven't had them in exactly the right order.
