Morning!
Stu is handing his notice in today - he told them verbally yesterday, so his last day will be Monday, but he has already booked the day off, so his last day there will be Friday, and he will start his new job on Tuesday.
We are going to celebrate his new job by getting a tow bar.....we know how to party eh?"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
nothing wrong with towbars
we had one fitted in august to go with our cool trailer tent :cool:0 -
That's exactly why we are having one jacs.....I am hoping we can have a holiday soon, maybe at Easter, but if it's too cold, it will probably be spring bank. :j"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

New SOA:
Income
Stu - £978
Jo - ?
Tax credits - £110
Child benefit - £120
Total £1208
Outgoings
Council tax - 80
Water - 28.90
Mortgage - £261.89
House insurance - £17.54
TV Licence - 11.37
T Mobile - £35 (2 phones)
Cancer research - £5
Gas - £44
Electricity - £44
Virgin - £55 approx - includes TV, phone, broadband
Life insurance - £19.29
Ryan savings - £10
Natasha savings - £10
Car loan - £75.90
Account fee - £11.95 (includes mobile insurance for both phones so we break even on this, and are 'in profit' if we go abroad, as it also includes travel insurance)
Contact lenses - £30 approx (both of us - may be able to get slightly cheaper)
Petrol - £100
Shopping - £250
Car tax & insurance savings - £52
Lottery syndicate - £5 (I know, I know)
Total - £1146.84
So looking at that, we could cope temporarily if I was out of work, but would literally have no spending money, money for clothes, birthday presents etc. I think I would need to bring in aboout £500 a month to be able to afford to buy a new house and to cope with day to day expenses without running up credit cards etc. So part-time, term-time jobs would be fine.....if only I could find one! :rotfl: I would need to pay out some childcare, but would get an increase in tax credits I think, that would help towards that.
I'm sure I've forgotten something there."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

With regard to your account fee - are your phones not covered on your contents insurance - might be worth finding out.....as for the travel insurance, are you planning to go abroad this year? If so it might be worth looking that the level of cover you'd need through a different source - it might work out a lot cheaper......
Obviously the account fee may cover other things I don't know about that make it worth your while.
Have you put in for disability and carers allowance for Ryan? (sorry missed some of the thread so not sure if you did it) My friend gets the middle rate for her son which is (I think) about an extra £85 per week including the carers bit.
When are work supposed to be getting back to you?
Good luck to DH for his new job "Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0
