    Yes, it's the same pattern as last time - and a few times in between too. I don't know how to break the cycle. Maybe that's why I wanted him to go, because I couldn't see any other end to it.

    I forgot to mention that Stu has his counselling sessions starting this week (the ones he was referred for when the last 'incident' occurred). I am hoping and hoping that they will help him work through whatever is stopping him being close to us.

    I agree completely that he hasn't accepted that there is anything wrong with Ryan. He is still trying to 'control' him, but that just leads to arguing, and I think Stu feels that, as an adult, he should have the last word, and he should 'win'. But Ryan can out-argue anyone, and will just keep going and going.

    I was hoping the diagnosis would help bring him to his senses, but of course we are still waiting for that, and we still don't know if, at the end of all this, Ryan will actually be autistic enough to warrant a label. If he isn't then..:confused:
