Right I've got the plant label now its Aquilegia Barlow Blue I got from poundland this morning - an unexpected little treasure - its one of those with the ruffled heads - google it, the colour is stunning
I don't think you can ever have enough blues and purples in the garden. At the mo I've still got baskets of blue bedding lobelia I got in the B & q sale for 20p still flowering away, 4th month now and some in the tubs. Also deep violet Primulas dotted about who have got very confused about what season it is. Also lilac petunias which were turfed out of he window boxes for the winter pansies but I've put them into a bare gap so the flowers are still poking their heads up.
I also got some of the very tiny winter pansies from Aldi at the start of September, the ones no bigger than your thumb, potted them on into plugs so they made a nice football and then they went into the window boxes last week and one is flowering already, big lilac and purple face. These we re only £1.99 for 12, I really should have got more than one pack as they never had them again.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. David - are you on the P & o FB thread?
Just wondering if you had heard about what was happening on Ventura today. It was coming back into Southampton - think it was back from the med - someone sadly went into the Solent
So it's been delayed coming into port and it was not docking until 12.30. They were trying to contact people who are boarding today to tell them the times have been put back 3 hours and they were putting £20 onto accounts to cover lunch today off ship.
Anyone who turned up who had not been contacted were allowed to leave their luggage but had to go away for 3 hours
Not caught up with what has happened since early this morning.
It makes you think about all sorts of things though.
Like you we tend to go down the night before and stay over and the very first thing we check in the morning on the ship finder app thingy is if our ship has actually docked
Just had a read. Some peoples selfishness astounds me.“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”
