sorry to hear this AJ. It is a bit tiresome to spending so much time traipsing to medical appointments. You've had one thing after another this past year
At least the cataracts treatment is quick and painless I believe, which is something.
That's what I was thinking, it's been a heck of a year, no holiday yet  little did I know  oh well will have to line up a driver when I'm out of action
Congrats to your daughter passing her test, amazing how the time flies from them starting school and now drivers :eek:diluvsdiscounts wrote: »AJ sorry to hear your news.

Ha ha ha, I had thought that but then remembered I'm on antibiotics for this ruddy chest infection  Can I drink alcohol while taking them? I better check that out :cool:There's no place like home
Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.
Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.0 -
Don't know if anyone has found or mentioned about this, but at my local A's muller lights 6's are £2 each in the offer chiller and £3.88 2 for £5 down the yoghurt aisle.
So I tried 2 late last night, and was charged £3.88/2 for £5. Result £1 back and £2 gift card, so £1 per 6 pack.
Plus as they are £1.94 at T's, I got apg for £1.78. so really 12 for 22p. :money::money:0 -
Got home from hospital to find DS1 here with DS4. Kettle on and sat around chatting until DS1 went to do his shopping then bus home.
My eyes are still wide open, hard to blink etc  results from today's visit is that I have cataracts, these prevent fluid from draining and are the cause of pressure building up in the eye and can cause glaucoma.
Right, so I now await an appointment to go and have the first one done. Have also been told today that as my eyes are at the moment, with these glasses, I am not 100% suitable for driving  so Mr Optician had better pull his finger out and get my new glasses ready quick smart
I have noticed my eye sight getting worse and had just assumed it was due to the fact I was needing new glasses, just goes to show. So I should get an appointment within 2 months and it looks like I'll be starting a New Year not clear of hospitals but still on the ruddy treadmill of treatments grrrrrrr
Sorry to moan, I realise there are others on here much worse if than me (((hugs))) to you all.
I'm going to open a bottle of something nice tonight, make it last for 2 or 3 nights. Lovely weekend
Sorry to hear about your eyes.
It is a brilliant procedure. You won't believe the difference it makes.
I would put it on par with going to the dentist although it involves about 5 hours at the hospital. Most of the time is spent in a waiting room where they come around every 1/2 hour to put drops in.The actual op takes about 20 minutes. They do recommend bringing a sandwich with you and my hospital had tea and coffee on tap.The chairs were really comfy as well.
After your knee op you will find it a doddle.
Best thing I have ever had done.No more thick lens in the glasses. My sight prescription has gone from 7.5 to .5 in the eye that I have had done.0
