Best wishes Nannylala, hope all goes well today.

Another one with a cough here, although mine seems to be nearly better now. I've had it about three weeks after a mild cold.

Why is the whole nation moaning about carrier bags? We do like something to moan about.

I am convinced the entire thing has been orchestrated between the powers that be and the press to whip Joe Public into a frenzy and then while he/she is fretting about carrier bags the situation at Calais and at other borders across Europe rumbles onwards ...

well this morning there was a huge thump on the bedroom window so I looked out of the window to find a dead pigeon on the lawn and Ronnie cat sat guard next to it

The pigeons around here must be particularly dense - this is the 3rd time the bedroom window has an angel shape on it.

so I've put a bucket over it for now until OH gets home, I can deal with small corpses that fit onto a shovel but I am not dealing with anything this big incase it starts moving about

  • Good morning all, what a grey day it is.

Snap and AJ, sorry I seem to have passed my germs on to you, although if it is mine it will not last long :)

Hugs to everyone else that is not feeling well.

Nanny, good luck for today :)

My other issue this morning is my suede pixie boots.

a few years back New Look had purple suede pixie boots which were fab. I thought Id try and find more in the sale so at the end of the next spring after checking shops up and down the country I managed to find 2 sale pairs in my size in Llandudno :T

so these have since been sat in a bag with a can of suede protector spray - I think I was hoping that some kind person would spray them for me but that kind person has had better things to do.

I am very nervous about doing it myself incase the purple escapes so the alternative is going to have to be to ask OH (who is going to think I save jobs for when he gets home - corpses on the lawn and boots that need spraying :rotfl: )

Has anyone used the spray and if so was it worthwhile doing and was it fairly simple and straighforward?

I've now got a purple quilted gillet from Mountain warehouse so at least I will look co ordinated (but bizarre) .

Also looking in the bag is a pair of grey suede ankle boots which is a bit of a puzzle - never wear anything grey such a depressing colour so I've not idea where they came from.
I thin k I might be re-figuring out Ebay as well today.
