Good morning all, a bit cloudy out there today.

I dare you to tell DS2 that you plan to start an FB group for people who aren't members of a group. I suspect his head might explode :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Morning

There will be no head exploding today. The refunded sandwich saga yesterday left me, and I expect the dinner ladies at school, totally exasperated :rotfl::rotfl:

I asked him if he got a refund. He launched into a story about how they'd tried to fob him off with a free sandwich instead. Same thing? Yes?........not for him :rotfl::rotfl:
He wanted a refund and not a sandwich that was equal in value. From what I gather he got his £2 refund and paid for yesterday's sandwich with it anyway :rotfl:
  • I often think your DS2 would give Spock a run for his money FC :D

When we first bought this house.....and it was a total wreck  we won a whole fitted kitchen on eBay for 99p. No one else bid on it. I felt terribly embarrassed going to pick it up :o it was in good condition but very dated.
Turns out that the people getting rid of it wanted just that....to be rid of it and we were taking it off their hands. We used the carcasses as there was nothing wrong with them and we bought another kitchen.....also off eBay for much cheapness and used the doors and drawer facings on the 99p carcasses :D
It wasn't the prettiest but it was functional and it lasted us until I got my new kitchen fitted about 18 months/2 years ago.

The seller of the 99p kitchen phoned us twice after the sale to say they'd found 'bits' lying around from it and we could come and get them if we wanted.

The whole thing was a bit of a saga. I 'won' some kitchen cupboard doors....also on eBay in the midst of all this. When I went to pick them up, the seller lived directly across the road from b&q and had obviously been raiding their bins  They had a garage full of b&q items that had obviously been chucked out as unusable. :rotfl::rotfl:
I look back on it all now as a good experience :D

Talking about wanting rid of stuff....we put a metal high sleeper with fixed desk and bookcase minus the mattress on free cycle yesterday afternoon, half dozen wants within hour and we had not even dismantled it.

So spent all yesterday evening helping Mr TS take it down. Girls were not about to help. Anyway it's gone collected 9am. :T

I know we could have probably sold it but the relief of not having the metal frame cluttering the place far outweighs the few quid we may have got.

Not sure what dd3 is going to think when she gets back from dd1s her top bunk has gone into dd2s room both rooms look bigger without high beds in them. :j

Really fed up with new Nectar website only showing last months transactions. I requested they send me my transaction history. Four times they've sent me an email with no attachment

    Good Morning :)

Hope sun is shining for you like it still is for me. :j

Wanted to go to manor as think would be last chance with good weather but girls have spoilt that DD3 took too much to get train home from Surrey so plan is DD1 will take her as far as S'ton and we meet there.

Would much rather be in countryside than city!
