Normally the router plugs into the front of that socket (via a filter). Its a bit of a pain it being in the loft but we were advised that years ago by BT man.

Actually Enterprise, ther is one thing we were unsure about. Are the new filters that came with our new homehub the same as the old ones or not?

They are more than likely to be the same, but it is a good idea to swap them and keep the old ones as spares, or alternatively just keep these ones where you can find them easily, because filters do go wrong. They are made extremely cheaply in China and a lot of faults we go to are simply where a change of filter is required.

And yes, the router SHOULD go into the main socket, but you could try it in another socket and see how it goes when you get them up and running. If you have Cat 5 cabling to it in the loft though then it is fine there .

MSM is good as a guide but APG doesn't take any notice of it whatsoever. Take what it says with a large pinch of salt

That being said, M.com shows they are now £2 so MSM is probably right but it might only get noted by the in-store APG checkers today and updated on APG in a couple of days time

eg The 2 for £7 on the big tubs of chocs in M ended yesterday but the APG might well continue to compare beyond the end date

Let's see what any APG results actually say....

Oh dear. So how do people plan their groceries now?
I used to use MSM and if something was cheaper elsewhere I did it in shop 1 and if cheaper at A did it in shop 2 to make sure I was getting the most for my money if that makes sense?

Someone is probably waiting for results but you could still get some (if you can afford to take the hit of it not working)

Of course a positive AM result doesn't mean a positive PM result, it all depends when the APG updates for the day

  • Good morning, and what a lovely one it is too. Got pics of the beautiful moon but they do not do it justice sadly.

I hope everything goes well for fc today. Sending hugs to her and anybody else that needs one.

I doubt the pop will work now. Because all 18 are now showing on the offer on asda.com

    Hi all,
Has any brave soul done an early shop today to try this? I have the opportunity to get to an A today but it means a 32 mile round trip so want it to be worthwhile, (that A has the cheese at £2)
Messed up on Saturday, did several pop/cheese shops keeping APG's under £10 mostly, then as there were loads of cheese left decided to do it Henlans style with 18, only to remember afterwards that only 10 would compare - doh!
    Got my moneys worth though:wink:

I still plan using MSM as a guide, but I double check the prices of key items on the target shop's website

Targetting M has always been a bit of a gamble. You can visit the shop, you can view their website, you can read a iist of prices but the only thing you can rely on are the actual results posted from APG shops
