Well done :T:T:T And that is how pork crackling is supposed to be :D

Is your incoming point in the loft? IF this is the case then sounds like an internal cable problem. Did you have BT out to it or did they do it by remote?

Yes it is and no they didn't come out.

Trouble was BT people kept trying to diagnose the "fault" rather than realising it was due to the changeover so they had me taking the front off the box and lots of other things - all taking an inordinate amount of time.

DH thinks he will probably be able to sort it but we were so relieved to have the broadband back that we banned him from touching it all weekend!!

Collected mine this morning deb, all charged at £2.09. Maybe best to check your store price first if anyone is thinking of doing an afternoon c/c.

Thanks for the warning, had a c&c all ready to place but am dithering now as deliveries to my local store come from a store over 10 miles away, so no chance of me checking price before hand :o

Can anyone remember the rules on return of items under guarantee when they have been bought on the internet and sent out by post please? Have got Sabichi telling me they think the kettle was mistreated and that I would have to pay for return anyway.

IF they had you taking the front off the box that is normal, there is a test socket they would have wanted you to plug into. If it is still off then no extensions will work until it is back on, if it is back on then you have probably dislodged a wire, easy enough to solve. If you need any help please ask :)

Oooh that sounds lovely Nanny :)

I always wanted to go go to the village where Heartbeat was filmed - which is my all time favourite series. I have the complete set on DVD :)

Yes at the moment plugged into test socket. The telephone extension lead seems to be hard wired in to it at the side. Hubby is quite clever at that sort of stuff so he should be able to sort it but thanks for the offer of help :)
