Can't see the corks popping when it thaws, might be wrong though, but suspect it could well be flat :(

That's what I am thinking good job it was not the Lanson or blue top. And good job never paid a fortune too. It was a De Vallois and finest premier cru (mad about that one). And can't remember other.

My eldest and her BF did the same this weekend - drove up from St Albans to somewhere near Bamburgh castle (?) for a friends wedding - it must be gorgeous up there this weekend.

One heck of a drive though

So these 2 are 178 miles away from us up North, one son and his GF are in China, the other son has gone on a three hour drive to Calgary and his GF is in Moscow - could we possibly be more spread about :D

yes there drive was nearly 300 miles. They stopped in leeds for lunch on way up as his wife saw some fancy chef on tv and wanted to go to his restuarant. Apparently it was amazing but havent heard details yet. they love a bit if fine dining but will have to curtail a bit when the baby comes. DS has tickets for the rugby at Wembley this afternoon think its Ireland Romania. Worry a bit about him driving as he drives a but fast and not much common sense. But since dd got married I have vowed to try to not interfere and try to control them as they are grown up but its hard to do. Trying to decide what to wear. I think jeans and a nice top maybe? no shopping for me. My freezers and cupboards are full and i even tidied my stash this weekend and gave all my Udi and a few other bits to the food bank

So on menu today is chicken and spinach curry with home made parathas, lamb tagine and cous cous plus a Spanish vegetable stew with olives. And loads of homemade slaw.

We catered for 50 but only 31 stayed until evening and the portions were a lot more generous than we imagined. :o

I should have invited Dotty to the party not a single can of carling got drunk. And I bought 2 cases. :o

Seems people brought their own or drank the beer Mr TS got from the micro brewerys or wine which I notice we have gained couple bottles.

But worse of all no champagne got drunk put 3 bottles in freezer to get cold quick and forgot about them, well and truly frozen solid by time remembered several hours later. :o

Left them out in garage so hope no corks popped overnight and it's still drinkable.

Yikes Tiny, hope the corks don't pop

I opened a bottle of fizz last night, going to a wedding today and will be driver so only having wine 2 glasses with the meal and a glass of fizz for the toast.
Will be coke for the rest of the day and night as I'm driver, that way DS3 can have a drink. He is the only other driver in the family.

My hair was coloured by DH yesterday, feels so soft and well conditioned, but I look like a scarecrow this morning  need to apply some of the JF frizz stuff that we got last year, or was it the year before? with the impulse and nail varnish :)

Off for a shower must find shower cap. Think DS4 used it last to cover his dreads :rotfl: he will look smart in his suit though, he always does

May see you later before we leave x. Happy shopping folks.

Hugs to those in need, especially one special person, you know who you are x
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.
