Well, got garden tidied. There were so many weeds. Lavender hedge all trimmed back too
Definitely warmed up out there. Need to get a quick shower now before I can head to preschool.
Not sure if old news but I've just managed to print coupon for free Little Dish toddler meal. Apparently limited numbers of coupons. Available at https://www.littledish.co.uk/free-little-dish-toddler-meal/♥ Worrying does not empty tomorrow of it's troubles.... it empties today of it's strength ♥0 -
I think supermarkets should be more responsible when their stock ordering has gone wrong and they have a glut of something that in reality is not going to sell bigger reductions need to be made earlier in day to give chance for it to go.
Was once late in Ts and 2 cages of eggs brought out first reduction to 20p but after 9pm no one about to buy them. They had done normal whoopsies first. But these should have been reduced far earlier in day. I think waitrose reduce earlier sure zippy would know.
I don't know what answer is for odd things that are left to expiry.
I agree. I hate waste and can't believe how much gets thrown out each day. I would happily buy it at a reduced price but the staff can't it.
Saw three huge fridge worth of ready meals thrown out at the weekend because the fridge has stopped working.
I think food has too short dates on items. It encourages wasteLife is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.

I agree. My honey has a BBE date on it, and maple syrup too. Neither of them go off. One triumph for common sense though (probably until the EU find out), I have never seen a date on sugarWhat is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Morning (just).
Didn't get round to posting yesterday, although did read! Nothing much going on, I did go out for lunch again which was nice.
Can't really be bothered to get dressed, although might do later as got a visitor from work coming.
Other than that, nothing to report really.
nanny, glad your trial run went ok the other day and you (eventually!) found the hospital! You said you had some questions, feel free to pm me if you haven't got them answered yet.
Hope everyone else is ok, I must apologise as my head is still like a sieve and I often forget stuff as soon as I've read it!0 -
Back in the day we only had our sense of taste, sight and smell to guide us when it came to food freshness and we are still here to tell the tale. I mostly still work on the same principles, my sons however check everything for dates and I swear if they knew something was 5 minutes out of date they wouldn't eat it. It grieves me that they throw perfectly good food out and no matter how hard I try to reassure them it makes no difference. Before you assume, learn the facts,
Before you judge, understand why,
Before you hurt someone, feel,
Before you speak, think.0 -

Went to Ts & did the CC points booklet shop & also got 3 more noodles
Didn't purchase the Bountys as they are £1.79 at the momentbut SA scanned the coupon & it took 90p off my bill  (it was for 90 extra points)
I said I hadn't bought them so she removed itOur Family Motto ~If all else fails - read the instructions...

Is that all you're getting each visit?
They say "1 per transaction" but the SAs in my store refuse to put them through separately and lump them altogether in one go. They don't even blink to 20 at a time nowApparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -

fruit and veg are the worst though. Apples, potatoes and onions have been kept in cold storage and all of a sudden they get put in a packet and have a BBE of two days away on them!
And then there's bananas that have been transported half way across the world too.
I think there's too many customers who check food at BBE days and don't even check if it's perfect usable.Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
