* It's MothNight this week. Rather like the Big Butterfly Count you count winged creatures at home, or wherever you are in the evening, and submit your findings online. (Link) Not quite as 'cuddly' a website as the Butterfly Count, a bit more scientific.

Hi all
Very sorry about the bike Bob. And very pleased for fvd.
No exciting news here. Another nsd. Done lots of fly lady stuff tonight as no electricity tomorrow.
All the Xmas lists have frightened me. Is it really that time again?
Off to bed. Night all. M0 -
I think on balance people are good, though you may be feeling different after the bike theft! That's terrible, poor Bob's husband.
When we lived in Cambridge we had very cheap and decrepid bikes in the hope that no-one would want to take them; really hard to ride though and probably useless for cycling in the built-up areas you encounter!
No. I do generally believe people are good. There are just some rotters around. I am with you on that one. I paid £90 for the cheapest bike I could get in Decathlon recently and although it's not amazing I know for £90 if it's stolen big deal. OH had a 20 year old plus Claud Butler which meant although he could ride our son to school and get around he couldn't take the step of riding all the way to work as it's another few miles and his old bike just wasn't up to it. If it wasn't for the bike loan scheme we would never have spent that much. But for his £400 bike he was only going to end up paying £225 over the course of 10 months. It's all government scheme to get people riding.
I think he is most sad at the thought of having to make those payments for something he no longer has. Still he's home and ok and no one died. So it is just an annoyance.
Thanks to everyone for the lovely kind words." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Interview went really well. I was nervous, but think I represented myself well. A lot of the questions were along the lines I had thought they would be, so had answers already prepared for them. There was one question where they asked me what I knew about something, and I knew nothing! So I was honest and said I was sorry but I wasn't aware of the task force. Hopefully it won't be held against me as I did give lots of info about other agencies.
But I haven't heard anythingwhich isn't a good sign. This comapany generally let you know either way by phone call the same day.... Fingers crossed! Baileys Babe what a bootie you got there :j very x
I'd give it till the morning before you get too dispondent. It only takes one person to be in all day meetings to delay a decision being made. At least it's not an immediate no. My fingers are crossed!" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

As suspected, another non-stop day - although I am finished a little earlier tonight than I have been since I went back to work, so that's one positive.
Bob I am so sorry to hear about the bike.
DNMS I am keeping fingers crossed for good news.
I am a little wound up this evening - I've just had a nice long rant on my diary about it so I'll keep it short on here. A few weeks ago I found a cheque that was almost 5 years old - issued to my MIL for ESA for a couple of weeks before she died. It had been put away and forgotten about in the aftermath of her death and I only found it when I was sorting some of my old DMP stuff out. I rang their helpline and the bloke on the phone said that if I returned the cheque along with some proof that I dealt with the estate then they would reissue the cheque to me. Which I did. I got home today to a letter saying that anything older than 2 years would not be reissued so no money. I don't think I want to let it go, but I don't suppose anyone knows what I should do next? Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control
