erm.............sorry if this is really harsh, but Melly, if he was driving the car, his decisions were his own and if he drove in a bus lane, any resulting fine is entirely his own fault. Where he was going or who he was taking where has no bearing on it. Shouldn't he be apologising to you for driving illegally and getting a fine, which no doubt he will expect you to pay anyway? (Thus putting more pressure on your already stretched finances?!! I am kinda wanting to slap his grumpy !!! right now on your behalf.

:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

Thanks guys for all the well wishings :) I went to the dr this morning about my back pain,. he said I've got sciatica to add to the osteo arthritis in my spine and fibromyalgia. I am really not tolerating the pain my back is in constantly. Pain sucks so bad.

So that was a bit crappy, but my day picked up. I got some lovely presents .. a picture saying "Friends are like stars, you don't have to see them to know they are there", a salt crystal tea light holder which is so glowy. I love crystals. And I got a huge bunch of tropical flowers and leaves, and my bestie gave me some money to spend on something nice. We went out for dinner and then to the movies.. The film was good, it had a twist that I didn't see coming ! It meant such a lot to me that my bestie came out with me. She is badly agoraphobic and only goes out with her boyfriend. We always see each other in my flat. I haven't been out with her for 5 years. I'm glad I went out, it took my mind off my spinal /sciatica pain and distracted me from seeing my surgeon next week.
I'm definitely feeling the love today:) .. I feel so lucky to have a friend family.. We have our falling outs but they mean the world to me, they, along with my 3 cats, are the lights of my life :)
Many thanks to all who contribute on MSE :)

I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

You know you're distracted when you go the wrong way to work! Somehow drove the wrong way from my house and ended up taking a v odd route. I'm not safe to be out!

Have so far read three emails and am getting more likely to slap someone with each one. Plus the cleaners had decided to move everything off my desk (seriously - keyboard, phone, the lot). This is going to be a long, annoying, hormonal day.

It's Mother's day on Sunday, I've just learned (from Melly's post above) Usually it's the Sunday after my Dad's birthday in the middle of the month (or even the one after that) and I use that as a reminder to post a card. Who moved it this year then? :p

The card is on my desk at home, which is no use at all as I won't be there until tomorrow night as I'm leaving work at lunchtime and going to central London for a friend's birthday meal this evening. Oops :o

Yeah Easter is so early this year, it keeps confusing me. Lent seemed to start about the week after Christmas!

One of the (many :)) good things about being involved in Guiding again is that you get lots of reminders about things like mothers day. Last night the girls made little books of promise vouchers for their mums :D

    Ono,

I tend not to say to much about mothers/fathers day. I once got caught out when asking and it turns out that the parent had died. I felt really bad after that.

I have already warned my mother that her present may not arrive in time. But I will still get her a card and a little some to open.

    Yours
